Me presento, Mi nombre es Germain Jimenez, soy arquitecto de profesion pero mas alla de eso soy una artista amante del lapiz y de el color.

Hello everyone, especially @lionsaturbix for this contest that promises to appreciate our warm workplace.
I introduce myself, My name is Germain Jimenez, I am an architect by profession but beyond that I am an artist who loves pencils and color.

Me dedicaba a pintar por hobbie hasta que comence a publicar mis trabajos en whatsapp y una poblacion infantil deseaba aprender a pintar como yo; de alli comence a dar clases de arte para niños en casa.

Cuando sali embarazada quede sin trabajo ya que tuve un embarazo de riesgo y estuve en cama hasta que mi bebe nació; sin embargo cuando mi bebe tenia 3 meses decidi comenzar desde el calor de la sala de mi casa a dictar clases para niños.

I dedicated myself to painting as a hobby until I started publishing my work on WhatsApp and a population of children wanted to learn to paint like me; From there I started teaching art classes for children at home.

When I got pregnant I lost my job because I had a risky pregnancy and I was in bed until my baby was born; However, when my baby was 3 months old, I decided to start teaching classes for children from the warmth of my living room.

Ahora mi sala es un sitio muy especial para mi, no solo era el lugar donde sola dibujaba sino que ahora estaba mi hija, mi primera experiencia como madre y quien comenzó acompañarme en esta linda tarea de enseñar niños en el arte.

Now my living room is a very special place for me, not only was it the place where I drew alone but now my daughter was there, my first experience as a mother and who began to accompany me in this beautiful task of teaching children in art.

Mi espacio de trabajo- My workspace

¿Que la hace especial? Mi sala no era asi. Ustedes diran na arquitecto que le queda bien el refran "casa de herrero, cuchillo de palo". es decir teniendo el talento y no lo usas para beneficio propio.

Bueno, estudie con mucho esfuerzo y no me toco la mejor casa.. la mejor sala.

Esta era mi sala antes de tener a mi hija:

What makes it special? My living room was not like that. You will say to an architect that the saying "blacksmith's house, wooden knife" suits him well. That is, having the talent and not using it for your own benefit.

Well, I studied very hard and I didn't get the best house... the best room.

This was my living room before having my daughter:

Recuerdo que no podia hacer nada por mi reposo pero igual me venia con mi tapabocas apoyar a mi esposo, eran interminables los dias en mi sala, era un calor tan grande que mojaba toda la ropa. Visite la casa con 7 meses de embarazo y la necesitabamos para cuando la niña naciera.

I remember that I couldn't do anything for my rest but I still came with my mask to support my husband, the days were endless in my living room, it was so hot that it wet all my clothes. I visited the house when I was 7 months pregnant and we needed it for when the girl was born.

Le doy gracias a Dios por la vida de mi esposo, porque aunque yo solo pude pasar 2 veces el rodillo para ayudarlo el poco a poco hizo que la sala cambiara a mejor.

I thank God for my husband's life, because although I was only able to use the roller twice to help him, little by little he made the room change for the better.

En la sala hicimos las primeras sesiones de recuerdo del 1er mes de la niña, ustedes saben que siempre se muestran las mejore fotos.

In the living room we did the first memory sessions of the girl's 1st month, you know that the best photos are always shown.

Y ahi estabamos de nuevo nosotros, queriendo siempre tener un buen recuerdo en nuestras vidas.

Siempre sencillos, viendo la mano de Dios, porque ese dia ninguno tenia empleo, queriamos unas fotos lindas asi que nos toco solo buscar luces de navidad ya q era diciembre y poner en practica el ingenio.

And there we were again, always wanting to have a good memory in our lives.

Always simple, seeing the hand of God, because that day no one had a job, we wanted some nice photos so we just had to look for Christmas lights since it was December and put our ingenuity into practice.

alli en la sala comence mi primer taller de arquitectura para niños, fue una idea muy loca porque yo siempre los enseñe a dibujar sus artistas favoritos pero en esta ocacion ya que estaba en un sector con muchos niños en ocio, prepare una publicidad para enseñarles a los niños principios basicos de la arquitectura y de como un ambiente puede cambiar totalmente desde nuestra imaginacion y luego con mucho esfuerzo.

There in the room I started my first architecture workshop for children, it was a very crazy idea because I always taught them to draw their favorite artists but on this occasion since I was in an area with many children at leisure, I prepared an advertisement to teach them to children basic principles of architecture and how an environment can change completely from our imagination and then with a lot of effort.

La matricula fue de 1 dolar semanal y veian 5 dias a la semana pero disfrutamos mucho, les prepare un ambiente atractivo y entre tantas actividades realizamos casas de plastilina...

The tuition was 1 dollar a week and they came 5 days a week but we enjoyed it a lot, I prepared an attractive environment for them and among so many activities we made plasticine houses...

Mi niña ya mas grande nos acompañaba mientras yo dictaba los cursos, escogimos una casa moderna para elaborarla y luego vimos un video de antoni gaudi un arquitecto famoso creador de la basilica la sagrada familia quien desde niño soñaba con cambiar su entorno.

My older daughter accompanied us while I taught the courses, we chose a modern house to build it and then we watched a video of Antoni Gaudi, a famous architect who created the Sagrada Familia Basilica who since he was a child dreamed of changing his environment.

Aprendimos a dibujar arboles en planta(vistos desde arriba) y de frente.. ademas de que les preparaba sus deliciosos cupcake para premiarlos por su excelente trabajo.

We learned to draw trees in plan (seen from above) and from the front... in addition to preparing their delicious cupcakes to reward them for their excellent work.

Quiero creer que mi lugar de trabajo no solo me beneficia a mí; sino, que cada niño que pase le quede sembrada la semilla de esperanza para un futuro mejor, mejor para ellos mismos y para todo aque que los rodee, mejor para la sociedad futura que lo necesita.

I want to believe that my workplace doesn't just benefit me; but rather, that each passing child be sown with the seed of hope for a better future, better for themselves and for everyone around them, better for the future society that needs it.

estas son algunas experiencias y se que pronto quedaran muchas mas que me enseñaran muchas cosas, mientras no este en clases sigue siendo lu lugar favorito, alli comemos, alli jugamos con la bebe, alli hay visitas y alli nacen ideas nuevas... siempre de la mano de un lapiz, un color, un borrador y la imaginación.

These are some experiences and I know that soon there will be many more that will teach me many things, while I am not in class it is still my favorite place, there we eat, there we play with the baby, there are visitors there and new ideas are born there... .always hand in hand with a pencil, a color, an eraser and imagination.
