Hello to my dear Hivers and the dear community of artists #HiveDIY, as always very pleased and excited to be here again, showing you my work especially for you.

In my previous post I made a small flowerpot with tricolor tulips using the quilling technique. As I really liked the final result, I decided to gradually make a small collection or mini garden of flowerpots, with various flowers and plants. Due to several requests, I am going to continue making 2 types of cactus this time, as there are so many. Next time I might continue with other species of these.

Hola a mis queridos Hivers y a la querida comunidad de artistas #HiveDIY, como siempre muy complacida y emocionada de encontrarme por acá nuevamente, mostrándole mi trabajo hecho especialmente para ustedes.

En mi publicación anterior realice una pequeña maceta con tulipanes tricolor en la tecnica de quilling, como me gusto mucho el resultado final, decidí hacer progresivamente una pequeña colección o mini jardín de macetas, con diversas flores y plantas. Por varias peticiones voy a seguir esta vez elaborando 2 tipos de cactus, ya que hay muchísimos, para la próxima podría seguir con otras especies de estos.

For the pot:

For the first cactus:

• We start by taking 5mm wide green quilling tape, with the quilling needle we are going to roll until we reach the end of the tape, take it out of the needle and seal it with extra strong white glue. We will obtain a closed circle.
  
  

• Ready the circle will mold in the template for circles in the number 12.5mm, take out of the template and finish molding with your fingers, to get a rounded shape but somewhat elongated with less height than the pot, apply extra strong glue on the inside to prevent the piece from moving or deforming, let it dry very well.
  
  

• This circle must be smaller than the top of the pot to fit well, once dry we will place it in the indicated place.
  
  

For the flower of the cactus:

• We will make a kind of pompom type flower to place on the top of the cactus, we will do this by taking a piece of white ribbon 5mm wide, with a scissors we will cut along the same vertically.
  
  
• With the quilling needle we will roll up to the end of the ribbon that we cut vertically, seal it with glue, take it out of the needle, and open with our fingers the peaks, we will place this small flower adding glue on the top of the cactus. Now we have our first cactus ready.

Para el primer cactus:

• Comenzamos tomando cinta para quilling de color verde de 5mm de ancho, con la aguja para quilling vamos a enrollar hasta llegar al final de la cinta, sacamos de la aguja y sellamos con pega blanca extra fuerte. Vamos a obtener un círculo cerrado.


• Listo el circulo moldearemos en la plantilla para círculos en el numero 12.5mm, sacamos de la plantilla y terminamos de moldear con los dedos, hasta conseguir una forma redondeada pero algo alargada con menos altura que la maceta, aplicaremos pega extra fuerte por la parte interna para evitar que la pieza se mueva o deforme, dejamos secar muy bien.


• Este circulo debe quedar mas pequeño que la parte de arriba de la maceta para que encaje bien, una vez seco lo colocaremos en el sitio indicado.

Para la flor del cactus:

• Realizaremos una especie de flor tipo pompón para colocar en la parte de arriba del cactus, esta la haremos tomando un trozo de cinta blanca de 5mm de ancho, con una tijera cortaremos a lo largo de la misma de manera vertical.


• Con la aguja para quilling enrollamos hasta llegar al final de la cinta que cortamos en vertical, sellamos con pega, sacamos de la aguja, y abrimos con los dedos los picos, esa pequeña flor la colocaremos añadiendo pega en la parte de arriba del cactus. Ya tenemos listo nuestro primer cactus.

To make the second cactus:

• We take green quilling tape of 9mm wide, with the quilling needle we will roll up to the end of the tape, we take out of it, we will loosen a little to get an open circle, we seal it in glue. This circle will be molded as shown in the image, we will leave it rounded at the top and flattened on the bottom.

• Using the same parameters as above, we will make 2 more circles, one smaller than the other, taking into account that they must also be smaller than the first circle we made.
  
  
• We will glue the larger piece to the pot and we will place the smaller pieces on the sides as we wish.

To make the flowers or details of the cactus:

• With quilling tape 3mm wide yellow, blue and red (or the color of your choice), we will make 3 small circles of each color, once ready we will mold them in the shape of a leaf, we will glue them in groups of 3 per color, we will glue them on each of the branches of the cactus.

In this way we have 2 small pots of different cactus made in the quilling technique.

Para realizar el segundo cactus:

• Tomamos cinta para quilling de color verde de 9mm de ancho, con la aguja para quilling enrollaremos hasta llegar al final de la cinta, sacamos de la misma, soltaremos un poco para conseguir un circulo abierto, sellamos en pega. Este circulo lo moldearemos tal con indica la imagen, lo dejaremos redondeado en la parte de arriba y aplanado en la parte de abajo.


• Bajos los mismos parámetros anteriores realizaremos 2 círculos mas uno mas pequeño que el otro, tomando en cuenta que también deben ser mas pequeños, que el primer circulo que elaboramos.


• Pegaremos dela maceta la pieza mas grande y colocaremos a nuestro gusto a los lados, las piezas mas pequeñas.

Para realizar las flores o detalles del cactus:

• Con cinta para quilling de 3mm de ancho color amarillo, azul y roja (o del color de tu preferencia), haremos 3 pequeños círculos de cada color, una vez listos moldearemos en forma de hoja, pegaremos en grupos de 3 por color,los pegue en cada una de las ramas del cactus,

De esta manera tenemos 2 pequeñas macetas de diferentes cactus realizados en la técnica de quilling.
