I'm sure you are all doing great today as I bring to you my greetings from this part of the world, it is with great pleasure and delight that I'm sharing with you the making of this cute little pouch with handle for my neighbor's little daughter.

My neighbor has a little daughter Aisha who sends on little errands in the neighborhood but unfortunately, most of the time Aisha usually lost the money on her way to the store few blocks away from the house, her mother usually over looked the situation but the one that happened yesterday was very annoying that scolded Aisha that she started crying, I heard about it and pet her, I promised to make her a small pouch with handle and zipper where she can keep the money used to send her on errands. Today, I filled my promised to my neighbor daughter and she was happy.

Let me take you through the cutting and sewing process of this small and cute little pouch.

I measured and cut out 8 x 5" from my leftover pieces of fabric with lining.

For the handle, I measured and cut out 2 pieces of 6 x 1.5" from another piece of fabric, it was folded and sewn together on both sides

From the mid point of the main fabric, I measured 1.5" away and sew the handle on both sides

I placed the zipper on the right side with the zipper head facing down then I placed the lining on it and it was sewn together.

The zipper was sewn on both sides and top stitched on.

It was turned to the wrong side with main fabric to main fabric and lining to lining, then I sew on both sides leaving an opening on the lining where it can be turned inside out with the zipper opened to the middle.

The excess zipper was trimmed off and i sew on ½" on the four edges of the main fabric and lining then the excess was trimmed off on the edges.

It was turned inside out and I top stitched on opening on the lining

Finally, it was turned inside out to the right side through the zipper opening and this is the final outcome.

With this small little pouch with handle, my little friend can put her money in it and secure it with the zipper and she can hold it firm on the handle.
