Realmente pienso que es muy común tener en nuestro closet ropa que solo hace bulto y ocupa espacio porque por diversas causas simplemente la ignoramos. La buena noticia amigos es que gracias al cielo existen las segundas oportunidades y nuestra ropa no es la excepción .Podemos darle una nueva vida a nuestras prendas, contribuir con el reciclaje y quizás hasta podemos gastar menos dinero en ropa si aprendemos a renovar nuestro armario con aguja, hilo y mucha imaginación. En esta oportunidad vamos a convertir un pantalón de vestir (que nunca utilicé) en una linda falda

We can give a new life to our clothes, contribute to recycling and maybe we can even spend less money on clothes if we learn to renew our closet with needle, thread and a lot of imagination. This time we are going to turn a dress pants (that I never used) into a nice skirt
Vamos a utilizar: - We are going to use:
- Un pantalón
- Aguja e hilo
- Tijera
- Cinta métrica
- Regla
- Una tiza o lapicero
- A pair of pants
- Needle and thread
- Scissors
- Measuring tape
- Ruler
- A chalk or pencil
Paso a Paso - Step by Step
Paso 1. Desde la cintura hacia abajo medimos el largo que queremos que tenga la falda en la parte superior y para facilitar el proceso es recomendable trazar una linea recta con la finalidad de guiarnos al momento de cortar con la tijera. Despues de cortar quedarán tres piezas:las dos piernas del pantalón y la parte superior
Step 1. From the waist down we measure the length that we want the skirt to have at the top and to facilitate the process it is advisable to draw a straight line in order to guide us when cutting with the scissors. After cutting there will be three pieces: the two legs of the pants and the upper part.
Paso 2. Seguidamente tomamos las piernas del pantalón y la cortamos por las costuras de manera que nos queden 4 piezas iguales, para lograr esto es necesario emparejar cada una hasta que queden lo más parecido posible
Step 2. Next we take the trouser legs and cut them at the seams so that we have 4 equal pieces left, to achieve this it is necessary to pair each one until they are as similar as possible
Paso 3. Ahora vamos a coser a máquina o también puede ser a mano, lo importante es hacerlo amor. Unimos cada una de las piezas que emparejamos anteriormente con puntada recta dejando los extremos libres, es decir, en total serán tres costuras. La tira es bastante larga pero en la imagen se pueden apreciar las tres uniones
Step 3. Now we are going to sew by machine or it can also be by hand, the important thing is to do it with love. We join each of the pieces that we matched previously with a straight stitch, leaving the ends free, that is, there will be three seams in total. The strip is quite long but in the image you can see the three joints
Paso 4. Es hora de hacer los dobleses, el faralao, las tablas o como le llamen ustedes. La técnica consiste en doblar una parte de la tira hacia dentro e ir sujetando cada dobles con alfileres porque luego vamos a coser en la parte superior para que se sostengan bien los dobleses. En este paso yo cosí con costura a mano
Step 4. It's time to do the doubles, the faralao, the tables or whatever you call it. The technique consists of folding a part of the strip inwards and holding each double with pins because then we are going to sew on the upper part so that the doubles hold well. In this step I sewed with hand sewing
Paso 5. Unimos la tira de dobleses que hicimos con la parte susperior del pantalón que cortamos en el primer paso. Enfrentamos derecho con derecho, colocamos alfileres y cosemos
Step 5. We join the strip of doubles that we made with the upper part of the pants that we cut in the first step. We face right sides, pin and sew
¡Listo!, nuestro experimento quedo muy lindo!. Honestamente siento que este modelo de falda le luce más a las niñas pequeñas🤔, aunque también he visto ha chicas de mi edad utilizarlas , todo depende de como nosotras😉
