Saludos hermosa y creativa comunidad de las manualidades. Por acá vengo con mi participación para el concurso de Esferas decorativas con tela. Después de varios días de pensar y pensar con qué vendría a participar, por fin me llegó la inspiración y me senté a decorar estas esferas que reciclé en la limpieza que hice de los adornos de mi arbolito. Ya muchos estaban muy deteriorados, pero estoy feliz de darle una nueva oportunidad a estas esferas. Lo que se me ocurrió con ellas, lo verán en el paso a paso que les muestro en las fotografías.

Greetings beautiful and creative craft community. Here I come with my entry for the [Decorative spheres with fabric] contest (https://peakd.com/hive-130560/@hive-130560/new-contest-decorative-spheres-with-fabric-winners-of-the-previous-contest). After several days of thinking and thinking about what I would come up with to participate, I finally got inspired and sat down to decorate these spheres that I recycled in the cleanup I did of my tree ornaments. Many of them were already very deteriorated, but I am happy to give these ornaments a new opportunity. What I came up with with them, you will see in the step by step that I show you in the pictures.

Les comparto los materiales que usé para la elaboración de estas esferas decoradas con tela.

I share with you the materials I used to make these spheres decorated with fabric.

La idea que llegó a mi mente para decorar las esferas para participar es una especie de versión de la técnica del patchwork. Es decir, pegar pequeños pedacitos de telas de diferentes motivos navideños hasta cubrir toda la bolita.

El primer paso fue buscar los retazos que me habían quedado de otras manualidades y recortar pedacitos de diferentes tamaños y formas. Luego, procedí a pegar uno encima del otro para ir cubriendo toda la superficie.

The idea that came to my mind to decorate the balls to participate is a kind of version of the patchwork technique. That is, gluing small pieces of fabric with different Christmas motifs until the whole ball is covered.

The first step was to look for scraps I had leftover from other crafts and cut out pieces of different sizes and shapes. Then, I proceeded to glue one on top of the other to cover the entire surface.

En estas fotografías, se puede ver cómo pude forrar la esfera. para esta mi intención fue darle protagonismo a telas en las que sobresaliera el color rojo.

In these photographs, you can see how I was able to line the sphere. For this one, my intention was to give prominence to fabrics in which the red color stood out.

Continué con la decoración, para esto pegué una tira de balines dorados cruzando la esfera. Le agregué una cinta de encaje y tela en la parte superior por donde metí un pedacito de hilo dorado envuelto en foamy para que sirviera de argolla para guindar. Pegué unas ramitas navideñas roja y dorada y un lazo pequeño para terminar la decoración de esta primera esfera.

I continued with the decoration, for this I glued a strip of golden pellets across the sphere. I added a lace and fabric ribbon at the top where I put a little piece of golden thread wrapped in foamy to serve as a ring to hang it. I glued some red and gold Christmas twigs and a small ribbon to finish the decoration of this first ball.

Después de ver el resultado anterior, a mí me encantó. Me dispuse a decorar otra esfera, pero esta vez dándole protagonismo a las telas en las que resaltara el verde.

After seeing the previous result, I loved it. I set out to decorate another sphere, but this time giving prominence to the fabrics in which the green would stand out.

Igual que con la anterior, recorté pedacitos de tela de diferentes tamaños y formas y empecé a cubrir toda la esfera. En estas fotos, pueden ver cómo introduje el hilo dorado enrollado en el foamy para hacer la argolla. Esta esfera la decoré con un pedazo de la cinta navideña alrededor de la misma, para hacerla diferente le quité el encaje. En la parte superior, le puse unas hojas navideñas con pistilos rojos para el toque final.

As with the previous one, I cut out pieces of fabric of different sizes and shapes and began to cover the whole sphere. In these photos, you can see how I introduced the golden thread rolled in the foamy to make the ring. I decorated this sphere with a piece of Christmas ribbon around it, to make it different I removed the lace. At the top, I put some Christmas leaves with red pistils for the final touch.
