Kimdre the creature of the Risoou Cave

Very good morning my dear readers, happy start of the week welcome once again to my art blog, today I want to present you a work which I titled Kimdre the creature of the cave Risoou, Kimdre is a very old entity that lives in a hidden cave in the dark mountains of France, She is a creature that no one knows where she comes from but normally takes human form to gain the trust of people who pass through the mountains, once she achieves this she submerges them in a deep trance thanks to the power she has in her mysterious red eyes. Here I want to show you a little of the process of how I made this work so you can appreciate it a little better:

Muy buenos días mis queridos lectores, feliz inicio de semana sean bienvenidos una vez más a mi blog de arte, hoy quiero presentarles una obra a la cual titule Kimdre la criatura de la cueva Risoou, Kimdre es una entidad muy antigua que habita en una recóndita cueva en las tenebrosas montañas de Francia, ella es una criatura que nadie sabe de dónde proviene pero que normalmente toma forma humana para ganarse la confianza de las personas que transiten por las montañas, una vez que lo logra los sumerge en un profundo trance gracias a el poder que tiene en sus misteriosos ojos rojos. Aquí quiero mostrarles un poco del proceso de cómo realice esta obra para que la puedan apreciar un poco mejor:

PROCESS / PROCESO

First of all I started creating my sketch to later finish with the line that will give a final structure to the work, for Kimdre I decided to make her with a quite young human form, with long hair and a very innocent look, then with the drawing structure finished I started with the painting of this work, I applied layer by layer the base colors so that the work would take shape.

Primero que nada inicie creando mi boceto para posteriormente culminar con el lineado que le dará una estructura final a la obra, para Kimdre decidí hacerla con una forma humana bastante joven, con cabello largo y mirada muy inocente, luego con la estructura de dibujo terminada ahí ya si comencé con el pintado de esta obra, aplique capa a capa los colores base para que la obra fuera tomando forma.

Once I had the skin color well established the next thing was to give structure and details to the skin and face in particular, as I said before Kimdre has very special and powerful eyes, that's why I decided to paint them in a different color, that's why I chose to use the saturated red color as a base and then with darker and stronger shades of red was detailing the inner part of the iris and gave them a little volume.

Ya una vez que tenía el color de la piel bien establecido lo siguiente fue darle estructura y detalles a la piel y el rostro en especial, como dije antes Kimdre tiene unos ojos muy especiales y poderosos, es por ello que me anime a pintarlos de un color diferente, es por ello que opte por utilizar el color rojo saturado como base y luego con tonos de rojo más oscuros y fuertes fue detallando la parte interna del iris y les di un poco de volumen.

In the case of the dress Kimdre does not have one as such, she is only covered by a very long blue cape or tunic that makes her look quite striking, I painted the base of the tunic and then I was giving details of folds and wrinkles to give more realism to the tunic, then for the hair I decided to use a shade of red that I configured a little to make it look different from the eyes, first I applied it as a base and then with other tones I was giving relief and I was painting the strands of hair one by one to get the hair texture I wanted.

En el caso de la vestimenta Kimdre no tiene una como tal, solo está cubierta por una capa o túnica muy larga de color azul que la hace ver bastante llamativa, pinte la base de la túnica y luego le fui dando detalles de pliegues y arrugas para darle mas realismo a la túnica, luego para el cabello decidí utilizar un tono de rojo que configure un poco para que se viera diferente al de los ojos, primero lo aplique como base y luego con otros tonos le fui dando relieve y fui pintando los mechones de cabello uno por uno para llegar a la textura de pelo que deseaba.

Finally we arrive to the section where I spent more time painting, the painting of the cave was what I wanted to dedicate more work because I wanted it to look as similar as possible to a real cave, I applied very light brown tones first, then with the watercolor brush I created the rocky texture of the cave, for this I used at least 3 tones of light brown and also 3 tones of very dark brown, then in a new layer in (Shine) mode I created a kind of entrance of sunlight that falls from the top of the cave and illuminates Kimdre a little bit, this helped me to give a good final scene to my drawing.

Finalmente llegamos al apartado donde más me tarde pintando, el pintado de la cueva fue a lo que más quise dedicarle trabajo pues quise que se viera lo más parecido posible a una cueva real, aplique tonos de marrón muy muy claros primero, luego con el pincel acuarela fui creando la textura rocosa de la cueva, para esto utilice al menos 3 tonos de marrón claro y también 3 tonos de marrón muy oscuro, luego en una nueva capa en modo (Shine) cree una especie de entrada de luz solar que cae desde la parte alta de la cueva e ilumina un poco a Kimdre, esto me sirvió para darle un buen escenario final a mi dibujo.
