Como he mencionado en otros post mi madre tiene un rincón verde donde cultiva diversas variedades de plantas florales, en estos días se ha librado una intensa batalla entre ella y unas hormigas cortadoras de hojas que en Venezuela llamamos popularmente Bachaco, estos animalitos se han encargado de destruir en cuestión de horas muchas de las plantas de mi mamá y el asedio a sido constante.
As I have mentioned in other posts my mother has a green corner where she grows several varieties of flowering plants, these days an intense battle has been waged between her and some leaf cutter ants that in Venezuela we popularly call Bachaco, these little animals have been responsible for destroying in a matter of hours many of my mom's plants and the siege has been constant.
Mi mamá por los momentos las combate de forma ecológica utilizando café molido, y hojas de plantas toxicas, ya que al transportarlas a sus cuevas estas dañan los hongos con que se alimentan estas hormigas, es una guerra por el control del jardín!
My mom is currently fighting them in an ecological way using ground coffee and leaves of toxic plants, because when they are transported to their caves they damage the fungi that these ants feed on, it is a war for the control of the garden!
Por los momentos las hormigas cortadoras llevan la batalla a su favor gracias a las numerosas hordas que tiene la reina hormiga en su cueva, así que se ha convertido en una guerra prolongada.
At the moment the cutter ants have the battle in their favor thanks to the numerous hordes that the ant queen has in her cave, so it has become a protracted war.
Motivado en la secuencias de hechos sucedidos en el jardín de mi madre quise plasmar en un dibujo parte de los personajes principales de esta batalla comenzando por la reina hormiga, para ir armando poco a poco todo el escenario de esta batalla campal, será divertido ver el resultado de todo esto.
Motivated by the sequence of events that happened in my mother's garden, I wanted to capture in a drawing part of the main characters of this battle starting with the ant queen, to gradually put together the whole scenario of this pitched battle, it will be fun to see the result of all this.
Proceso
Mi dibujo lo realicé en una hoja de block de cartulina, con lápiz de colores y bolígrafo negro, este dibujo llevó un tiempo aproximado de 5 horas primeramente realice el boceto de la reina hormiga y después comencé a aplicar el color, difuminando los tonos en la hormiga y por ultimo agregue los detalles como la corona y una hoja como su estandarte.
My drawing was made on a sheet of cardboard block, with colored pencil and black pen, this drawing took about 5 hours, first I made the sketch of the ant queen and then I began to apply the color, blurring the tones in the ant and finally I added the details such as the crown and a leaf as its standard.

Hermoso dibujo acompañado de una excelente narración de los hechos, doy fe que estos animalitos se convierte en verdaderos enemigos de un lindo jardín y por ende provocan la nostalgia de quien con tanto cariño cuida del él.
Gracias, a veces es algo cómico ver a mi mamá peleando con las hormigas en las mañanas, pero siento su frustración, si así puedo decirlo, de ver todo su esfuerzo en cuidar sus plantas y verlas destruidas la mañana siguiente, pero claro ella no esta vencida aun jejejeje
