It was supposed to do a simple design... but you should know how I am and how I don't get well with simplicity 😂.
Although in general I wanted to try a lot of things in this drawing, from the presentation of the sketch to the beginning of the shading. I think I like to experiment a lot to be honest, but that's how you learn.
Se suponía que debía hacer un diseño simple... pero ya deberían de saber como soy y como no me llevo bien con la simpleza.
Aunque en general quise probar un gran numero de cosas en este dibujo, desde la presentación del sketch hasta el inicio del sombreado. Creo que me gusta experimentar mucho la verdad, pero es así como se va aprendiendo.
Process/Proceso:
For the sketch I really liked how some artists placed the background with a simple but dynamic coloring between lights and shadows.
Para el sketch me gusto mucho el como algunos artistas colocaban el fondo con un coloreado simple pero dinámico entre luces y sombras.
The shading was another dilemma, I was planning to make a shading with dark blue tones and then complete it with the gradients option of photoshop... a good experiment, but spoilers: I prefer to stay with my previous shading thecniques
El sombreado fue otro dilema, paneaba hacer un sombreado con tonos azules oscuros para luego completar con la opción de gradientes de photoshop... un buen experimentó, pero spoilers: prefiero quedarme con mis tecnicas anteriores.
Lately I paint using the tones directly, I think I've gotten better to distinguish values, saturations and tones... either that or I've gotten very used to the color slider.
I just know that I was surprised that I didn't have to use much of the existing filters in Paint Tool Sai to do this job.
Últimamente pinto usando los tonos directamente, creo que he mejorado en mi ojo para distinguir valores, saturaciones y tonos... eso o me he acostumbrado mucho al deslizador de color. Solo se que me sorprendió el no tener que usar mucho los filtros existentes en Paint Tool Sai para hacer este trabajo.
The hair was the hardest thing to do of all, I think I spent several hours in there, remember that comment about my improved ability to distinguish values? well here it all went to hell; I didn't know what I was doing wrong, I just know that I didn't like the result of each attempt. This was the final result.
El cabello fue lo que mas me costo hacer de todo, Creo que dure varias horas ahí metido, recuerdan ese comentario sobre mi capacidad de distinción mejorada? pues aquí se fue todo al carajo; no sabia que estaba haciendo mal, solo se que no me gustaba lo que resultaba de cada intento. Este fue el resultado final.

On the shading going to hell in a handbasket with the hair, white and black are just hard to shade. It came out fine :)
Yeap, there was a moment I felt the hair was blond instead of white.
I don't know if you remember my last post (the canonical girl) well... the hair was meant to be white and we could see how it turned out 😂😂.
Funny enough I like painting black, for some reason I feel it easier :'3
