Introduction
I'm currently looking into creating some hair accessories for my daughter and some other reasons. I'm currently overwhelmed with creative ideas and so I decided to just start, see what I create and if anything nice comes out of my hands. I wasn't sure if this was going to be a hairclip or hair tie, but in the end I went for the hair tie as the size is quite big for a hairclip I think. I chose for a different color combination than the usually requested "pink and purple" thankfully, she loved it.
Recommended tools and supplies
- Yellow felt ( I used about 12*12 cm, it depends on the size of your bird)
- About 2x2 cm blue felt
- TIny part of glitterfoam for the beak
- Tiny googly eye
- Blue and white thread
- Needle
- Glue gun (recommended because it will secure the bird to the hair tie better than any other glue is my experience)
- Paper
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Cotton wool

Conclusion
I love the bird, although the next one will probably be a tiny bit smaller and most likely attached to a hair clip instead of a hair tie. I gained some more inspiration while creating this one, so I will definitely be creating more felt hair accesoiries soon. My daughter was very surprised when I layed it on her table at night as a gift, she was all happy, happy daughter, happy mom!
