Hola, comunidad, me llamó mucho la atención esta iniciativa de @helloisalbani y, aunque tengo mis héroes favoritos, aprovecho la oportunidad para hablar de un antihéroe o villano que ganó mi simpatía (y la de muchos)
Nos toca remontarnos varias décadas atrás, alrededor de unas seis – si mi memoria no me falla -, era la época de la televisión en blanco y negro y la serie en la cual mi villano hizo de las suyas era “Perdidos en el Espacio”, traducción del título original “Lost in Space”.
Hello, community, this initiative by @helloisalbani caught my attention and, although I have my favorite heroes, I take the opportunity to talk about an anti-hero or villain that won my sympathy (and so of many)
We have to go back several decades, around six - if my memory serves me correctly -, it was the era of black and white television and the series in which my villain did his thing was "Perdidos en el Espacio", translation of the original title [“Lost in Space”](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_in_Space#Production).
La serie televisiva contaba la historia de una nave espacial en la cual se enviaba a una familia completa, los Robinson (padre, madre, tres hijos y un auxiliar) a un viaje que duraría tanto antes de llegar a su destino que todos iban en cápsulas en estado “de animación suspendida”. Me doy cuenta ahora que posiblemente la selección del apellido Robinson hacía alusión a [Robinson Crusoe](https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robinson_Crusoe), el protagonista de la novela del mismo nombre de [Daniel Defoe](https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Defoe) un náufrago perdido no en el espacio sino en una isla desierta ubicada en algún lugar desconocido del gran mar.

Cuando los Robinson llegaran al planeta determinado serían despertados por un robot especialmente programado para ello, para que comenzaran a realizar su misión de investigación y colonización.
Acá aparece el villano (El Dr. Smith) quien se introduce en la nave en forma subrepticia y altera los comandos del “infaltable” robot de manera que unos minutos después del despegue este destruya la nave.
No recuerde por qué razón se le dificulta salir de la nave a tiempo y esta despega con el dentro. El robot se activa y con su voz mecánica comienza a repetir la orden recibida “A las tantas horas destruir…destruir…destruir…” y comienza a lanzar rayos y a romper todo a su paso.
When the Robinsons arrived at the determined planet, they would be awakened by a robot specially programmed for it, so that they could begin carrying out their research and colonization mission.
Here appears the villain (Dr. Smith) who surreptitiously enters the ship and alters the commands of the "unfailing" robot so that a few minutes after takeoff it destroys the ship.
I do not remember why it is difficult for him to get out of the ship on time and it takes off with him inside. The robot is activated and with its mechanical voice it begins to repeat the order received "After so many hours destroy...destroy...destroy..." and begins to launch lightning bolts and break everything in its path.

…se ve en la necesidad de despertar a los tripulantes de la nave, quienes logran neutralizar al robot, programarlo correctamente de nuevo, pero se encuentran que dañó varios controles importantes lo cual les impide saber en donde están y por ello se hayan “perdidos en el espacio”. En cada capítulo, en su esfuerzo – me parece recordar - por llegar a Alfa Centauri, galaxia que es su punto de destino. Van aterrizando en diversos planetas, cada uno con distintas formas de vida y diferentes peligros. Siempre andan juntos el niño (Will Robinson, caracterizado por el pequeño y pecoso actor Billy Mummy), el Dr Smith (Caracterizado por el Primer Actor Johnatan Harris) y el robot.

El Dr. Smith es sumamente orgulloso, egocéntrico, es un anciano que se cree “la tapa del frasco” o “la última Pepsicola del desierto”. Cada vez que se enfrentaban a un peligro (un monstruo extraterrestre o algo así) se escondía tras el niño, a veces gritando “¡Las mujeres y los niños primero!”, pero todo esto lo hacía con exageradas expresiones de espanto en su rostro que lograban la risa de parte del televidente y, al final, terminaba resultando simpático.
Tal era su atracción como villano, su simpatía, que, siendo la serie estadounidense, entre todos sus personajes fue él el invitado acá a Venezuela, donde lo trajo un canal comercial y fue un programa con mucha audiencia cuando se presentó, lo entrevistaron y luego un grupo de niños estuvo haciéndole preguntas.
Dr. Smith is extremely proud, self-centered, he is an old man who believes he is "the lid of the bottle" or "the last Pepsicola in the desert." Whenever they faced danger (an alien monster or something like that) he would hide behind the child, sometimes yelling "Women and children first!" but all this with exaggerated expressions of fright on his face that they made the viewer laugh and, in the end, ended up being nice
Such was his attraction as a villain, his sympathy, that, being the American series, among all its characters he was the guest here in Venezuela, where a commercial channel brought him and it was a program with a large audience when he was presented, interviewed and then a group of children was asking him questions.

Lo del doctorado del Dr Smith es un poco confuso, en algún capítulo lo vi utilizando el estetoscopio en alguno de la tripulación, pero recuerdo que, en un caso de emergencia, queriendo recurrir a él como médico dijo que era “Doctor en Filosofía”.
The thing about Dr Smith's doctorate is a bit confusing, in some chapter I saw him using the stethoscope on one of the crew, but I remember that, in an emergency, wanting to use him as a doctor, he said he was "Doctor of Philosophy"
Un villano cuya mala acción originó la trama de la serie, pero cuya simpatía superó la producida por los protagonistas buenos, más popular que el super buen mozo Guy Williams, el Dr. Smith, mi villano favorito.
A villain whose bad action originated the plot of the series, but whose sympathy surpassed that produced by the good leads, more popular than the super handsome Guy Williams, Dr. Smith, my favorite villain.
Espero que, si alguna vez vieron “Perdidos en el Espacio” este post les haya traído gratos recuerdos de su infancia y que si es primera vez que tienen conocimiento de esta serie..bueno… agreguen esto a lo que ya sabían, ya que siempre es bueno aprender algo… del tema que sea.

Que bonitos recuerdos de la otrora televisión venezolana cuando presentaba estas inolvidables series perdidos en el espacio con la participación protagónica del "Zorro" Guy Williams... todas las tardes cuando legaba de la escuela no me la perdía y ese personaje que Ud. señala de Villano a mi parecer era más bien el personaje negativo de la serie ya que pertenecía al mismo equipo pero su pesimismo y aptitud derrotera lo califica como el malo de la serie... Gracias por traernos tan agradables recuerdos con esta gran entrada.
Hola, @gaborockstar, ciertamente, el Dr. Smith era el villano, es decir, el malo, pero era quien le
ponía "sazón" a la trama. Algo así como (salvando las distancias) el "Leoncio" de "La Esclava Isaura", un malo con atractivo. Me gustó de este concurso, justamente, el que @helloisalbani invitara a hablar no solo de los héroes sino también de los antiheroes o villanos. Gracias por la visita, comentario y apoyo.
