Wedding Anniversary Ideas

Good Monday to all our creative community!!! I hope this week has been productive for you and that you are doing well!

Quite unexpectedly, the daughter of our friends contacted me. She said that she invited her parents to visit and wanted to surprise them: to congratulate them on their 25th wedding anniversary.
This was a very cool idea, but there was very little time left before the holiday. Less than a week. At first we were kind of confused, but then I remembered a funny joke: sew a mini veil and a bow tie for the bride and groom.
To do this, I took out my supplies of old lace.

I gathered part of the lace onto a thread to make a flower. And I still have some left to add to the flower. Next step: I chose a large bead to sew into the center of the lace flower. So that it could stay on the hair, I used a bobby pin.

Then I got out some colorful gift wrapping ribbons and decided to add that too.

It turned out very nice!

Now I started sewing a bow tie for the groom. To help it hold its shape, I decided to add fabric inside.

I also found white ribbon for ties in my supplies. And of course I also added blue ribbon for wrapping.

The result pleased me again. The fact is that my husband doubted that it would turn out well since the lace was very old. But the end result turned out really great.

Another fun idea is to make wedding rings in the shape of handcuffs. This doesn't involve thread and needle, but I'll show it to you anyway. Suddenly someone likes this idea and uses it as a fun surprise for their friends and family.

To do this, you need to cut multi-colored paper into thin strips. The strips for the rings themselves can be made a little wider. Glue them together as you see in the photos (my husband did this). They can be decorated with hearts or smiley faces.

We composed a funny song for them (about them) and during the song we put it all on them.

It was very funny. Our friends and we laughed a lot.

We were very glad that our idea was a great success. 😀

Take care of yourself and be healthy!!!
