Hi, I'm Sue, and I believe this is my first needle work Monday post. I've made some beaded post earrings today. My first attempt.
From this collection of beads, and a rivoli.
A 12mm rivoli, size 11o silver seed beads, size 15o crystal seed beads. Size 4mm check glass crystals and a length of fireline. I followed a youtube video by Bronzepony Beaded Jewellery. It took me all day, because I just couldn't quite see how she was connecting the circle of beads I was using. Its a right angle weave pattern. I should have been using 3mm crystals, but I don't have those, so made do. It would have looked much better if I had the correct size.
These are the first pair, with the 6mm post glued on to the back of my rivoli. I was halfway through making, the second earring, on the second pair, when that pesky crystal cut through my thread.
Ah well. I enjoyed the process. I used a size 10 beading needle.
I've given up for the night now, as my poor old eyes are now very tired. Thank you for reading and my apologies if I'm posting in the wrong place. 🙂

This ear rings looks so elegant and attractive, the crystal clear beads Marge with gold are so beautiful to behold.
Thank you so much. I'm afraid the lighting on my photo wasn't great. I'm learning. Thank you for your encouragement.
It's just perfect from my view here, we are all in the learning process, keep up the good work.
Thank you so much.
You're welcome.
Hello @smithykins! Welcome to the NeedleWorkMonday Community!
I think your first attempt of making beaded earrings was a success. They are beautiful!
You did post in the right place. We do accept beaded work as long as you use a needle and that you did ;)
Every week needleworkers from around the globe get together to share our work, patterns, tips, ideas and shortcuts as we support one another. Our goal is to inspire the Hive blockchain to give crafting a try.
On Monday’s we use the #needleworkmonday tag and on all other days we use the #needlework tag without the word Monday attached. We share and post our work directly from the Community page.
We encourage our members to share about their needlework life with us. We love hearing stories and what types of things inspired your projects. We challenge you to put some feeling and emotion into your publications and help us get to know the needler behind the fabric.
Feel free to share photos of your work but it’s optional if you choose to share the steps with us (we do require you share the step process in at least one of your posts for validation purposes). If you just want to needle and share about that time we’d love to hear about it. 😊
