I’ve realized that one thing as a crocheter is that sometimes you know you are doing the wrong thing but you just want to see how it will look after doing it and I genuinely know I’m not the only person who does this.

That is very true. My mantra is always "Trust the process." I keep saying that to myself until I see some clarity with my work.
