Guess The WIP Contest: Working with Old Rose

You know how I always say it's not really yarn hoarding, but just a matter of being prepared? Well, this next project is just another proof of that. I have been following a seller on Facebook and I am always up to date with her new yarn collections. I am particularly fond of her polyester yarns.

When she posted her Old Rose Polyester yarns for sale, I immediately commented "Mine!" on her post. I don't really have any project for it in particular. At that time, I thought I could easily find a pattern for that type of yarn, for that color. But in this case, the project found me.

New client found

Remember when I posted the reveal of my blue yarn project? Well, I did a photoshoot with my daughter modeling her requested swimwear that day. When my neigbor's friend found out that I crocheted the swimwear, she immediately added me as a friend on facebook and found all my crochet collection. She immediately sent me a particular design and asked if I could make one for her too. When we both agreed with the pricing, she then asked if I had any shades of pink. The only one I have was old rose. Oh well, I guess I could easily tell my husband "I told you, I'm gonna need this yarn."

More than just yarns

For this project, I'm gonna need more than just yarns. There are other items that my client wanted to be in the project. Really, thank goodness to my hoarding preparedness, this project will be completed without having to wait for the supplies online.

Resourcefulness

Although, with her requested design, I also needed to be resourceful so that I could finish this project on time. Let's just say I am going to use an item on this project that was not supposed to be used the way I'm going to use it.

I'm not sure if I've given enough clue. But here goes:

• I'm going to use old rose for the yarn color.
• This is requested by a female client.
• The pictures above are the items I'll be using for the project.
