Sewing a senator shirt for my nephew in-law.

Hello Needleworkers

Happy and blissful Monday to you all of my friends in the #Needleworkmonday community, hope you all had a wonderful and fun weekend, and I'm sure that everything goes perfectly fine, im so excited today for being able to share a post here with you all and it a pleasure to meet you all again, in today's occasion i will be sharing with you all on how i cut and sew this senator shirt for my little nephew in-law.

Keeping myself busy is what makes me feel so happy, there's this remaining material i kept for a long time, so i was thinking to use it for myself to sew a senator shirt, and my sister in-law came to visit us and she wanted to spent some weeks with us, then i think of making something surprise for her son, then i started searching for a material to use then i luckily found this remaining material that was kept for so long, well it wasn't enough so i decided to sew a senator shirt for him, because i wanted to sew for two and i want to sew only top, well i know I'm not good at sewing shirt but just to try, since he is a year plus i have to make a round neck style for him instead of making a collar neck so that it will not be a kind of stress so i started by folding the material by two, i firstly measured out the full length, the shoulder length, then i measuerd out 1.5 inch for the front bottins place and iron, so after that i measured the armhole length then i cut it out.

After cutting it out i now went to the sewing machine and sew a straight line on the two side front of the bottins place then i cut out the necklace point.

Then i moved on folding the material again by two and placed the fornt on it to cut out the back side so i now measured out 2 inches allawance for the back length, then i cut out the back necklace point and cut oit the back body too.

After cutting out the back side i now cut the shouldee turning band and fixed ot down at the back then joined the shoulder and the body together.

I went ahead and cut out the sleeves, i bend the hem of the sleeves and joined them to the body of the dress.

After that i bend the hem of the dress and cut out 1.5 inch of the material and bind the neck part then i made a hand embroidery weaving to the bottins oponed point and fixed in the bottins.

After everything i went and iron it properly.

So here is the outcome is the senator shirt

The senator shirt came out nice and success and it came like a surprise because i didn't tell anyone who i made the dress for.

Thank you friends for stopping by, do have a nice day.
