Nunca me dispuse a tomar una máquina de coser en mis manos, es que apenas pisaba el pedal y veía correr la aguja en la tela me daba pánico y ya sentía que me cosía los dedos, prefiero la costura manual 🤭 no obstante, siempre me llamó la atención la confección y aunque no desarrollé esa intuición, a veces me provoca hacer algo a mi estilo, en fin, el caso es que desbaraté un vestido que no usaba para crear este hermoso set que les muestro a continuación:

I was never ready to take a sewing machine in my hands, it is that as soon as I stepped on the pedal and I saw the needle run through the fabric I panicked and I already felt that it was sewing my fingers, I prefer manual sewing 🤭 however, it always called me the attention to the preparation and although I did not develop that intuition, sometimes it provokes me to do something in my own style, in short, the fact is that I destroyed a dress that I was not wearing to create this beautiful set that I show you below:

Resulta que mi hermana mayor, tiene un pequeño taller de costura en su casa, pero tuvo un accidente de fracturas en la pierna, lo que le impide trabajar, pero con sus instrucciones logré lo que quería.

It turns out that my older sister has a small sewing workshop in her house, but she had a broken leg accident, which prevents her from working, but with her instructions I achieved what I wanted.

Comenzamos por cortar el top, para ello usé uno de molde, tomando en cuenta la medida de las costuras en los bordes y para ello deje dos centímetros para el dobles de los mismos.

We started by cutting the top, for this I used a mold, taking into account the measurement of the seams on the edges and for this I left two centimeters for double them.

Asi sacamos la parte delantera que la vamos a colocar doble para evitar transparencias.

This is how we remove the front part that we are going to place double to avoid transparencies.

Bajo la misma técnica sacamos la parte trasera del top pero esta es sencilla, o sea de una capa de tela, doblando el molde del lado y cortando a la medida, tal como muestra la imágen.

Using the same technique we remove the back of the top but this is simple, that is, from a layer of fabric, folding the pattern on the side and cutting to size, as shown in the image.

Ahora proseguimos con el short, de la misma manera usé uno de molde, doblamos la tela en dos y cortamos según el molde ambas partes, delantera y trasera, así como también tiras que nos servirá para la parte de la cintura del short y los bordes del top.

Now we continue with the shorts, in the same way I used a pattern, we fold the fabric in two and cut both parts, front and back, according to the pattern, as well as strips that will serve us for the waist part of the shorts and the edges from the top.

Ahora vamos a coser para juntar las piezas y ver como quedó nuestro set deportivo, que se puede usar como traje de baño o simplemente estar cómoda en casa.
Esta parte si la hizo mi hermana pues esas máquinas industriales no me atrevo a manejarlas.

Now we are going to sew to put the pieces together and see how our sports set turned out, which can be used as a swimsuit or simply be comfortable at home. This part was done by my sister because I don't dare handle those industrial machines.

Ya culminado el short... y es que usó dos de sus máquinas, para el acabado de zigzag y ruedo interno.

The shorts are finished and he used two of his machines, for the zigzag finish and inner hem.

Luego el top, se unen las piezas traseras y luego las delanteras para colocar las tiras de los bordes.

Then the top, the back pieces are joined and then the front pieces to place the edge strips.

Se unen los tiros de los hombros y ya queda listo nuestro top.

The shoulder shots are joined and our top is ready.

Este es el resultado final de nuestra creación queridos amigos, en esta fotografía se ve morado, pero es vino tinto, aparte de ser mi color preferido me encantó como quedó 😍
