Happy New Monday to us, I hope that all my beautiful people of this community are hale and hearty. I wish us all the love, joy and peace and happiness we can ever find. May all our labours be fruitful and may we find the journey of life easy.

It is obvious that one way or the other the community has been very supportive and we share a bond of creativity together which helps us to come around especially on this day to see alot of beautiful work and to unwind. I'm happy to be associated with this virtual and supportive family.

Today I am really excited about this very project. Not because I made something extravaganza but that I made something really useful and the purpose for which it is will be used gives me so much joy

I love to sing and my dream of being in the choir group of my church was almost terminated for some reasons.
You have to wear a choir uniform almost every Sunday. Not the normal choir rope where you can wear any outfit underneath. This one is done in such a way that they can ask the members to get dressed in thesame color of outfits, probably skirts and blouse for one Sunday and dresses for another. We must all wear thesame color and other times thesame design of clothes.

For some reasons I was hesitant about joining the choir because I wouldn't have the money to be making new outfits every Week/Sunday. But the passion for singing and ministering in church kept bothering my heart until I realized that in a second thought knowing how to sew will be useful and of so much benefits. While others spend almost double amounts of what is needed to make their choir outfits I might be spending something very less for mine.

All I need do is to purchase fabrics and sew. I have been alternating choir attendance. And for about two weeks now I couldn't join them to sing because of the uniform.

For next week we are to dress in a purple outfit. I didn't want to miss out next ministration and thought about what I can do after they have selected that we are to wear a purple dress. I came back home this evening had been thinking about how to get mine. Our rehearsal are often scheduled for Monday evenings and uniforms are decided by then so that everyone can get their outfits ready before Sunday.

Going through my closet I found this jumpsuit.

I have made this jumpsuit awhile back and had worn it a couple of times, I love the Jumpsuit so much but can not wear it out for as many function. Most of my outing is a religious gathering hence I seldom wear this design

Instead of keeping the jumpsuit idle in my closet I decided to recycle it just in time for another perfect use.

The upper bodies I have made with princess cut

First I had cut out the lower trouser part

Here I added heming gums to the necklines to keep the facings down and neat.

Unstitched it then cut off all the crotch part that made it a trouser, with plenty of cuttings here and there

IMG-20240916-WA0062.jpg

Here I joined it back to the upper body, for the back it was easy because I have to fix back my zippers right where I had unstiched the pant and with the crotch straighted out no one will recognize that this was formally a pant

But the front bodice left me with a joining at the middle here which isn't appropriate but on another look it looks like I made a dart here and it doesn't look odd afterall

Everything was done and this recycle give me a privilege to transform an idle jumpsuit into a dress in which I can happily join the choir on Sunday for our ministration

The transformation is a marvel. The uniform looks even more elegant.

Wow, the uniform looks so cool. I love it
The color of the fabric really makes it cool. I was really blown away after seeing the result. Great job.

I love the transformation to dress, one can hardly tell it was a jumpsuit before, Nice work!

You are a genius! I am sure that God put that talent in you for a reason, God is good. I do not share the idea of having to change your wardrobe weekly to be in the church choir. I believe that things should be more spiritual than material, but well... sometimes these things are like that. From my side, I hope you have the possibility to serve God within your possibilities, while at the same time being able to feel at peace spiritually. I repeat, you are a genius. It would never have crossed my mind that it was recycling! Blessings, a hug.

The bold color is perfect for a simple and elegant dress for church. I love it. !BBH
