Hello Family
Beautiful new week needleworkers
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Its yet another time and privileged to show us some lovely children top with pearl embellishments and a sweetheart neck design that I just made.
I often try to make good use of every remaining pieces of fabric and bless heavens I have younger sisters with small body build yet, so all I do is make persons and place these papers on fabrics to make sure it was enough for any design before I go ahead to cut
Here is the pattern I made for this top.
A simple basic bodice measurements with bust waist and full length, the circumference and length measured out.
Next I used the bust point to measure out the sweetheart neckline which will serve as the yoke.
The neckline dimensions where
3 by 2.5inches front
3 by 1.5 inches back
Front and back block together
Using pattern to cut fabric.
These patterns where then use to cut each piece of the fabric. The two back piece and front piece. Wit he neck yoke and sleeves.
Stitching of the top.
Here is the stitching process where I first joined the yoke to the bodice, sewed in the back facing and put together each pieces.
Final embellishments
I did a final embellishments with pearls and some shiny ornaments I found in the house.
A glue gum was to be used to permanently stick this to the top, but I just did a simple placing prior to getting the glue just to find out how the finished look will be like.
Challenges faced.
This is kind of necessary for me to say at this point.
Aside the struggle to fix in the yoke because its kind of technical, I laughed 😂😂 at the different approach I used to make this.
The major challenge I face here is power supply, sometimes I wished there are solar pressing iron.
Ironing is a very important aspect of sewing and often times I don't get to iron most of the outfit I make.
The power supply here is very poor and am not financially buoyant to move to town with a better power supply.
I have been thinking of getting a diesel or small size fuel generator but that will cost me around $424 that's huge 😃😃
I guess I need a miracle money from somewhere or live with this until a divine intervention locates me. 😂😂😂
I haven't been using the industrial sewing machines for a while because of that, thank God I have a manual one that has been my saving grace.
That's very beautiful!!! tender and festive!
Thank you 🙏
This is such a beautiful blouse @monica-ene! The lace, pearls and shiny ornaments really make it fancy.
I understand about needing an iron to press and finish your sewing projects. I remember watching my mother sew growing up she always had a hot iron ready to press her creations. That’s one thing she always told me was if I was going to sew to make sure I had a really good iron on hand.
I hope you are able to gather the monies you need for a generator :)
Thank you so much, am glad you understand
Of course! 😉
