Diy : A blouse design with a special neckline

Hello Hive

Happy weekend to everyone; I hope that we are having the best of it. I feel a little moody this morning trying to fight back some hormones messing with me. Even though I don't feel like working today, it's almost like we don't have a choice. There is no room for laziness/idleness; every second counts, as there are so many deadlines and work to be done. We are hurrying up with planting in the farm while I continue to get orders for sewing.

Here goes some array of fabric for various clients for me to sew for them, and all are due in about two weeks time, with more coming.

It's either I'm working on the farm or sewing.

My sister too has some lines of clothes and wants me to sew for her. A lot of graduations will be happening in this season, as it's graduation year 🎈 🎈 🎈, and everyone is planning to celebrate their academic successes. Being a teacher in school, she wants some new decent clothes she can put on for her children's school graduation.

To start with the sewing, I will be making a blouse and trousers for her.

Having gotten her fabric and measurements, I started with folding the fabric into 8 to cut the front and back pieces together, not knowing that I had made a terrible mistake cutting out the back neckline with the same depth as the front neckline.

I started with sewing the clothes while thinking about how to adjust the back neckline that was cut with a depth I didn't intend to.

Next I cut out her blouse sleeves here and a long overlapping collar for the neckline here.

After stitching in everything, I got an idea regarding sewing some ropes at the back neckline to serve as some form of style.

I got several pieces of the materials, joined them, and stitched a rope here, which I began to add to the back neckline. That was done and came out as one stylish design. I was so glad for this creative idea that covered up a terrible mistake right there, and I hoped that my sister wouldn't be mad at me for this but would accept the new design in good faith.

Next I opened up the seam allowance and created a slit on both side seam allowances before giving the blouse a good press.

For the trouser part I decided to wait for a friend who will be dropping by this evening to assist me with cutting it.

Up until now I am yet to get the knowledge of how to make perfectly fitted female trousers. The last one I made for her was so awkward, and she complained so much about it.

While I am practicing more, I don't want to make a mistake with this and want a company of another needleworker to be able to make this. Hopefully I will get this two-piece ready and delivered by tomorrow so that I can move on to the next outfit.
