Feliz lunes de agujas en @needleworkmonday, espero tengan un lindo día y su fin haya sido especial y relajante. Días atrás me tocó hacerme las mechas con mi estilista que además es mi amiga de la universidad y mi colega en las dos profesiones que Dios me permitió tener. Después de años sin vernos coincidimos y me enteré de que ella hace mechas y para mí es la mejor. Estaba enfermiza, pero no dudo al sentirse mejor en venir y hacérmelas, entre largas horas de trabajo hablamos de todo literalmente y un tema fue que nos pondríamos para el acto de nuestros hijos, ya que ambos recibirían su título de bachiller a finales de julio principio de agosto y me dice que se compró una braga, pero que no le gustaba como le quedaba ahora, le mostré la braga que me hice hace un tiempo y seguramente llevaría al acto de mi hijo y le encantó.

A few days ago I had my highlights done by my stylist who is also my friend from college and my colleague in the two professions that God allowed me to have. After years without seeing each other we met and I found out that she does highlights and for me she is the best. She was sickly, but she didn't hesitate when she felt better to come and do them for me, between long hours of work we talked about literally everything and one topic was what we would wear to our children's ceremony, since they would both receive their high school diploma at the end of July beginning of August and she tells me that she bought a panty, but she didn't like how it looked on her now, I showed her the panty I had done a while ago and would surely wear to my son's ceremony and she loved it.
Me mostró una foto de un vestido que le gustaba mucho y que le había pedido a uno costurera que le hiciera, pero no pudo concretar nada, aunque yo no tenía mucho tiempo y además tenía otros trabajos pendientes que entregar decidí ayudarla con este inconveniente y le sugerí que comprara la tela Beverly que para el vestido que quería sería ideal, todo esto fue un sábado, ya para el lunes me llevó la tela y el miércoles ya su vestido estuvo para que el jueves luciera su hermosa por tan lindo momento con su hija.
Corté las piezas: una delantera, dos traseras (para la blusa), par de mangas. Para la falda una pieza delantera y dos traseras porque lleva cierre y corté un volado para la parte de la cintura que hacen del vestido una lindura.
She showed me a picture of a dress that she really liked and that she had asked a seamstress to make for her, but she couldn't make anything, although I didn't have much time and I had other pending jobs to deliver I decided to help her with this inconvenience and I suggested her to buy the Beverly fabric that would be ideal for the dress she wanted, all this was on Saturday, by Monday she took me the fabric and on Wednesday her dress was ready so that on Thursday she could show off her beautiful dress for such a nice moment with her daughter.
I cut the pieces: a front piece, two back pieces (for the blouse), a pair of sleeves. For the skirt I cut a front piece and two back pieces because it has a zipper and I cut a ruffle for the waist part that make the dress so cute.
Pasé a hacer la blusa, para ello cosí por los hombros, coloque las mangas y cosí por los costados.
The first thing I did was the skirt, since it only consisted of joining the back pieces up to a certain part (to then place the zipper) and sew along the sides.
I sewed the shoulders, placed the sleeves and sewed along the sides.
Ya teniendo la parte superior y la inferior, cosí las tres piezas tomando el volado y las uni con costura en la parte de la cintura, para luego colocar el cierre de 40 cm en la parte trasera. Al final hice ruedos de manga, falda y volado.
Once I had the top and the bottom, I sewed the three pieces together, taking the flounce and joined them with a seam at the waist, and then placed the 40 cm zipper at the back. At the end I sewed the sleeves, skirt and ruffle.
Así terminamos este lindo vestido en tono verde bosque, muy elegante para que mi amiga luciera radiante y feliz junto a su bella familia.
Tocó probarme el vestido y aunque me quedaba grande luce muy lindo, ideal para la ocasión y a mi amiga le quedó sin detalles que arreglar.
So we finished this beautiful dress in forest green tone, very elegant for my friend to look radiant and happy with her beautiful family.
I tried on the dress and even though it was too big it looked very nice, ideal for the occasion and my friend had no details to fix.
Ella definitivamente estuvo muy agradecida por todo y yo feliz de haberla ayudado en esta ocasión y es que ella no dudó en atenderme al sentirse mejor y yo no podía dejar de apoyarla cuando necesitó de mis servicios, de eso se trata la vida de agradecer y ser agradecidos. Espero les haya gustado este proyecto tanto como a nosotras. Saludos amigos y nos leemos pronto.
She was definitely very grateful for everything and I was happy to have helped her on this occasion and she did not hesitate to assist me when she felt better and I could not stop supporting her when she needed my services, that's what life is all about, to be grateful and thankful.
