I Made a Traveling Bag for my Mother

I just made a bag for my Mother as she will be traveling by next tomorrow to meet our elder brother in Lagos whom the wife just put to bed with a bouncing baby boy.

The color of the bag is made with a nylon leather material with flowering color which proves that the bag is set for traveling and needs to be welcomed in another environment. My Mother loves flowers very much and that was the reason why I chose to use flower leather material for the bag sewing.

From the start of this bag, I never imagined coming up with something good like this not until when I finished sewing the bag. Then the beauty of the bag came out and I noticed that I did something good as my family commented well about the bag. I have learned never to give up on any idea that comes my way about the sewing of any bag because making any bag from the idea I have a reality will always be a credit to me and my sewing business.

Ever since my Mother heard that my elder brother Kelechi just put to bed some days ago, she has been very excited with such news because for the past 3 years that my elder brother got married, he has been looking for a baby since those years not until days back as the wife just made my family proud with a bouncing baby boy.

With a good smile from my Mother, I chose to make a traveling bag for her even though she never told me about making a bag for her. I just surprised her because it was necessary. Since I sew cloth and bags, there is no way I will allow my mother to travel with old bags.

The bag design is actually my idea to make it look special for my Mother. Inside the bag, there is an inner pocket which I carefully made for her so that she can hide her money, important identity card, and any other things that she will like to put inside.

The bag cannot allow water to enter inside because I used some landing clothing and leather materials to cover the corner areas inside which water is supposed to pass through. I made it possible so that my Mother’s cloth and every other thing will be safe as we are already in the rainy season.

The bag has two sides hand and one at the top and I doubled the sewing severally in order for the bag not to tear any time my Mother want to carry the bag with lots of items parked inside. Looking at the bag, there is another fancy side design the bag is carrying and I made them with the same materials leather for the bag.
