Saludos y bendiciones mi querida gente de @needleworkmonday, paso por aquí para desearles una estupenda semana, que sea de muchas creaciones lindas. En este lunes de costura quiero compartirles mi nuevo proyecto y el cual se dio gracias a que una querida amiga me hizo mi primer encargo de costura, bueno hace tiempo me encargaron unos lazos que hice en tela de raso y le mostré por acá.
Pero esta vez era de una prenda de vestir algo más elaborado y aunque era un vestido pequeño, llevo su trabajo, pueden creer que estuve buscando en YouTube algún vídeo o tutorial que me mostrará cómo hacer un vestido para la virgen y la verdad no conseguí ningún paso a paso. Así que viendo la forma de la Virgen del Valle y las medidas que me dieron, que fue solo la altura o el largo del vestido, me puse manos a las telas.
Para este proyecto mi amiga me trajo tela de satín y tela de tull en color rosado, luego le dije que hacía falta algunas decoraciones y me trajo algunas cintas decorativas y unas flores plásticas con brillantes y de color dorado, para que resaltara más este sencillo pero bonito vestido para la Virgen del Valle.
Para su elaboración tomé la medida que eran de 40 cm de largo y doble la tela en cuatro, hice una pequeña circunferencia en uno de los extremos y así pude sacar la circunferencia y luego algo parecido a un pequeño triángulo. Así mismo hice la capa en la misma tela y para el velo lo hice con una circunferencia completa, como ven el vestido tiene tres capas más el velo.
Para el velo y para el ruedo del vestido estuve utilizando un prensatelas de dobladillo, me costó un poco porque no lo sé usar bien y el tull es una tela muy delicada y se me estaba saliendo varias veces del prensártela, así que por ahí hice algunos empates, igual se ve todo muy bonito.
La capa como les dije la hice en tela de satín y también Le agregué tull luego le comencé a colocar su decoración. La parte que estuve batallando desde un principio también, fue la abertura de las manos como no tenía idea del tamaño de la virgen o sea en esa zona mi amiga me había dicho que eran como el tamaño de mi mano y así lo hice y como ven quedó demasiado grande, aunque no se ve mal porque lo hice en forma de Rosario con la intención de que si quedaba grande debajo de las manitos, por lo general siempre la gente le pone unos rosarios y si ven, así mismo pasó.
Como ven mi amiga vino retirar a casa el vestido y nos tomamos esta bonita foto, ya que no tenía una virgen aquí a quien colocárselo, se lo puse a una lámpara, je, je, je. Ella viajó a su pueblo a visitar a su mamá y a llevarle el vestido para la fiesta en conmemoración a la Virgen del Valle que fue el 8 de septiembre y apenas hace dos días me mandó las fotos que le tomó a la virgen con el vestido que yo le realicé con mucho cariño y esmero.
Y Cómo ven la Virgen lucía muy bonita y la mamá de mi amiga y todos por allá le gustó mucho el vestido, me siento muy feliz de que lo que hice con tanto cariño fue apreciado y la virgen lució muy linda.

My first order of a dress for the virgin

On this sewing Monday I want to share with you my new project, thanks to a dear friend of mine who gave me my first sewing order, well some time ago I was asked to make some bows in satin fabric and I showed them here.
But this time it was a more elaborate garment and although it was a small dress, it took some work, you can believe that I was looking on YouTube for a video or tutorial to show me how to make a dress for the Virgin and the truth is that I didn't get any step by step. So seeing the shape of the Virgin of the Valley and the measurements they gave me, which was just the height or length of the dress, I got my hands on the fabrics.
For this project my friend brought me satin fabric and tull fabric in pink, then I told her that I needed some decorations and she brought me some decorative ribbons and some plastic flowers with rhinestones and gold color, to highlight more this simple but beautiful dress for the Virgin of the Valley.
For its elaboration I took the measure that was 40 cm long and folded the fabric in four, I made a small circumference at one end and so I could take out the circumference and then something like a small triangle. In the same way I made the cape in the same fabric and for the veil I made it with a complete circumference, as you can see the dress has three layers plus the veil.
For the veil and for the hem of the dress I was using a hem presser foot, it was a little difficult because I don't know how to use it well and the tulle is a very delicate fabric and it was coming off several times when I was pressing it, so I made some draws, but it all looks very nice.
The cape as I told you I made it in satin fabric and I also added tull and then I started to put the decoration on it. The part that I was struggling with from the beginning was also the opening of the hands as I had no idea of the size of the virgin or in that area my friend had told me that they were like the size of my hand and so I did and as you can see it was too big, although it does not look bad because I did it in the form of Rosary with the intention that if it was big under the little hands, usually people always put some rosaries and if you see, so it happened.
As you can see my friend came to take the dress home and we took this nice picture, since I didn't have a virgin here to put it on, I put it on a lamp, heh, heh, heh. She traveled to her town to visit her mother and to take the dress to her for the feast in commemoration of the Virgin of the Valley which was on September 8 and just two days ago she sent me the photos she took of the Virgin with the dress that I made for her with much love and care.
And as you can see the Virgin looked very pretty and my friend's mother and everyone there liked the dress very much, I feel very happy that what I did with so much love was appreciated and the Virgin looked very pretty.
