Hola, mis queridos amigos de @needleworkmonday, es un gusto visitarlos en este lunes de costura. Aprovecho para desearles una semana estupenda, maravillosa, llena de bendiciones y alegrías, que puedan empezar y culminar con éxito todos esos proyectos pendientes que tienen para estas Navidades.
El día de hoy vengo a compartirles este hermoso proyecto que le estuve haciendo a mi princesa Ámbar para su cumpleaños. En esta oportunidad les muestro cómo le estuve haciendo primeramente esta camisa que le quedó genial, hermosa; a mí me encantó; luego les muestro su complemento.
Para esta prenda estuve utilizando 50 cm de tela blanca con una textura extraña, pero bonita, y la verdad que la tela se deja cocer muy bien. Primeramente, utilicé unos patrones que ya tenían realizados y les hice algunas modificaciones, puesto que esta camisa es un poco más corta; además, tiene un escote en la parte de atrás y también se amarra con unas tiras para formar un lazo.
Una vez que tuve los patrones listos, los marqué en la tela y luego me encargué de hacerle los falsos para que quedara como forrada en la parte de atrás y en la parte de adelante sí la forré a la mitad, que fue a lo que me dio la tela.
Para las tiras utilicé 50 cm de largo por 3 cm de ancho ya doblada y cocida; creo que quedaron muy largas; para la próxima ya sé que tengo que colocarle como unos 40 cm de largo para hacer el amarre o el lazo en la parte de atrás. También hice unas tiras más anchas para hacer unos volantes que me sirvieran como las mangas, que, si pueden notar en las imágenes, no recorren toda la sisa, y la parte que quedó sin mangas le hice un sesgo con la misma tela para cubrir esa parte y quedara con un acabado más prolijo y hermoso.
Una vez que tuve tanto las piezas de adelante como las de atrás listas, uní por los hombros, luego por los costados y ya tenía esta hermosa blusa, tan linda, a la cual estuve haciendo algunos asentamientos en el cuello y le hice el dobladillo y quedó muy linda. Me encantó cómo se veía así toda blanca, sencilla y a la vez elegante para como yo pensaba que iba a quedar.
Ah, otra cosa que les quería contar es que estuve usando un nuevo prensatelas que, según, es para que haga los fruncidos como el que tienen las mangas, el cual tiene dos piezas para colocar por arriba la tela que se frunce y por debajo la que queda lisa, y no me funcionó; gracias a Dios estuve haciendo las pruebas en un trozo de tela extra. Así que tengo que ver cómo logro hacerlo en otra oportunidad. Ya que compré un estuche de prensatelas y no sé usarlos.
Una vez lista la camisa, le hice unos lazos con cinta de raso color rojo, ya que esta camisa era para formar un conjunto; le di forma de un arbolito, ya que estamos en Navidad.
Por aquí les muestro cómo se le veía su camisa el día de su cumpleaños; aunque no estaba muy de ánimo para las fotos, estaba inquieta esperando sus invitados. Igual pueden ver que se le veía hermosa; le hice un moño con un lazo que también le había realizado días atrás para que luciera el escote en la espalda.
La ropa siempre tiene un papel muy importante en nuestras celebraciones, por eso para esta fecha especial le estuve realizando estas prendas tan bonitas a mi princesa Ámbar; luego les estaré mostrando cómo le hice el pantalón, que tuvo muchos procesos, por eso se los muestro otro día.

Shirt with back neckline for Ámbar

Today I'm here to share with you this beautiful project I was making for my princess Ámbar for her birthday. This time I'll show you how I made this shirt first, which looked great on her, beautiful; I loved it; then I'll show you the matching accessory.
For this garment, I used 50 cm of white fabric with a strange but beautiful texture, and the truth is that the fabric sews very well. First, I used some patterns that were already made and made some modifications, since this shirt is a little shorter; it also has a neckline in the back and is tied with straps to form a bow.
Once I had the patterns ready, I marked them on the fabric and then made the facings so that it would look lined at the back. At the front, I lined it halfway, which was all the fabric I had.
For the straps, I used 50 cm long by 3 cm wide, already folded and sewn; I think they ended up too long; next time, I know I have to use about 40 cm long to make the tie or bow at the back. I also made some wider strips to make ruffles to serve as sleeves, which, as you can see in the pictures, do not cover the entire armhole, and I made a bias with the same fabric to cover the part that was left without sleeves so that it would have a neater and more beautiful finish.
Once I had both the front and back pieces ready, I joined them at the shoulders, then at the sides, and I had this beautiful blouse, so pretty, which I adjusted a little at the neck and hemmed, and it turned out very nicely. I loved how it looked all white, simple and yet elegant, just as I had imagined it would be.
Oh, another thing I wanted to tell you is that I was using a new presser foot that, according to the instructions, is for making gathers like the ones on the sleeves. It has two pieces, one to place on top of the fabric that is gathered and one underneath that remains smooth, but it didn't work for me. Thank goodness I was testing it on a piece of extra fabric. So I'll have to see how I can do it another time. Since I bought a case of presser feet and I don't know how to use them.
Once the shirt was ready, I made some bows with red satin ribbon, since this shirt was to form a set; I shaped it like a little tree, since it's Christmas.
Here I show you what her shirt looked like on her birthday; although she wasn't in the mood for photos, she was excitedly waiting for her guests. You can still see that she looked beautiful; I made her a bow with a ribbon that I had also made a few days earlier to show off the neckline at the back.
Clothes always play a very important role in our celebrations, so for this special date I was making these beautiful clothes for my princess Amber; later I'll show you how I made the trousers, which involved many processes, so I'll show you another day.
