I want to tell you that I arrived in Venezuela over a week ago, and the first thing I did was dust off my sewing machine and go to the nearest fabric store to buy several fabrics, including the rib fabric for the dress I showed you the other day and another stretched corrugated fabric with which I decided to make A Bardot-Style Button-Down Blouse The Bardot neckline was inspired by French actress Brigitte Bardot. This type of neckline adds a touch of sensuality, femininity, and elegance, as well as greatly stylizing the neck and adding softness. Primero doblé la tela en dos y coloqué encima la blusa negra que tomé de molde, doblada a la mitad, por la parte del frente y corte siguiendo la forma,agregando 2 cm mas de tela en el frente para hacer la tapeta y dejando 1 cm más de tela por los laterales, sisa y escote del pecho, para las respectivas costuras.

First, I folded the fabric in half and placed the black blouse I used as a pattern on top, folded in half, on the front side, and cut along the shape, adding 2 cm more fabric on the front to make the placket and leaving 1 cm more fabric on the sides, armholes, and neckline for the respective seams.

Después repetí el mismo paso con la parte de atrás siguiendo la forma y dejando los cm de costuras.

Luego hice lo mismo con las mangas, pero ésta las hice 3/4.

Then I did the same with the sleeves, but this time I made them 3/4 length.

Una vez que saqué todas mis piezas procedí a trabajar la parte delantera de la blusa cortándola por el centro en 2 para colocar las tapetas, que en éste caso corte dos tiras de 5 cm de ancho por el largo de la blusa y cosí una orilla primero por el revés y la otra orilla la llevé hacia la parte del derecho.

Once I had removed all my pieces, I proceeded to work on the front of the blouse, cutting it in half down the center to attach the facings. In this case, I cut two strips 5 cm wide along the length of the blouse and sewed one edge first on the wrong side and then brought the other edge over to the right side.

Una vez terminadas las tapetas procedí a hacer los ojales, en este casó hice 4.

Once the flaps were finished, I proceeded to make the eyelets. In this case, I made four.

Cuando terminé de hacer los ojales procedí a colocar las 2 piezas delantera encima de la pieza trasera con los derechos en enfrentado para pasar costuras en los laterales.

When I finished making the buttonholes, I proceeded to place the two front pieces on top of the back piece with the right sides facing each other to sew the seams on the sides.

Terminadas las costuras de los laterales procedí a cerrar la sangría de la manga o el largo de manga e hilvané la enmangadura por el recorrido de la sisa para asegurar y pasé costura con la máquina.

Once the side seams were finished, I proceeded to close the sleeve hem or sleeve length and basted the sleeve attachment along the armhole to secure it, then sewed it with the machine.

Después que cosí las mangas, procedí a cortar una tira de tela de 5cm de ancho por el largo total del contorno del escote más 2cm. Para hacer el sesgo del mismo.

After sewing the sleeves, I proceeded to cut a strip of fabric 5 cm wide along the entire length of the neckline plus 2 cm to make the bias binding.

Finalmente hice los ruedos de las mangas y la orilla del largo de blusa.
