ENG/ESP Gingerbread cookie made with fleece. / Galletita de jengibre hecha con tela polar.

Blessed needle Monday. I am quite busy with some preparations for Christmas, touching up the painting of the walls of the apartment, today I plan to make the hallacas to have them in advance and also some church activities, time is running out between my fingers, so I got up very early in the morning to make this gingerbread cookie in fleece, as these are a classic and I could not miss at least one on my Christmas tree.

Bendecido lunes de agujas. Estoy bastante atareada con algunos preparativos para Navidad, retocando la pintura de las paredes del apartamento, hoy pienso hacer las hallacas para tenerlas con antelación y también algunas actividades de la Iglesia, el tiempo se me va entre los dedos, por eso me levanté muy temprano en la mañana para hacer esta galletita de jengibre en tela polar, ya que estás son un clásico y no podía faltar al menos una en mi árbol navideño.

I chose to make it in fleece because last year I crocheted one and I was not very satisfied with the result. I tried with a fabric that I thought had the right color and the truth is that you can make progress very quickly with this technique.

Elegí hacerla en tela polar porque el año pasado hice una a crochet y no quedé muy satisfecha con el resultado. Probé con una tela que me pareció que tenía el color apropiado y la verdad es que se avanza muy rápido con esta técnica.

First I drew the pattern on a sheet of paper. I drew only the left side and when I folded the sheet and cut it out I got perfect symmetry. Then we can complete the drawing. We pin the cut out figure to the double piece of fabric. By cutting along the line of the pattern we obtain both sides of the figure.

Primero dibujé el patrón en una hoja de papel. Dibujé solo la parte izquierda y al doblar la hoja y recortar se obtiene perfecta simetría. Luego podemos completar el dibujo. Fijamos con alfileres la figura recortada al trozo de tela doble. Al recortar siguiendo la línea del patrón obtenemos ambas caras de la figura.

From the same pattern we get the dress and with the same technique we cut out and we have the dress. It is more practical to follow the line of the cut but without separating the straps of the dress and we get it in one piece where we only need to sew the sides.

Del mismo patrón obtenemos el vestido y con la misma técnica recortamos y ya tenemos el vestido. Es más práctico seguir la línea del corte pero sin llegar a separar los tirantes del vestido y lo sacamos en una sola pieza donde solo necesitamos coser los laterales.

For the collar we cut a strip of fabric and give it a slightly angular shape at the ends. We reserve it for the end. We cut out the paper pattern, the icing figure that goes over the head of the cookie and in the same way we take it out double. We place the front and back on the head of the cookie and sew everything simultaneously. We place the dress.

Para el cuello recortamos una tira de tela y le damos una forma un poco angular en los extremos. Lo reservamos para el final. Recortamos el patrón de papel, la figura de glaseado que va sobre la cabeza de la galleta y de igual manera lo sacamos doble. Colocamos la parte delantera y trasera sobre la cabeza de la galleta y cosemos todo simultáneamente. Colocamos el vestido.

Embroider the eyes and the smile. The pink cheeks I cut out of fabric and sewed them with simple stitches. A bow on the head and we have a cute little gingerbread cookie. I would have liked to make several and place them on my window wreath, which I haven't finished yet. I think I'm going to fall short again, even though I started a long time before. Anyway. Each year I will put the ornaments together with the ones from the previous year and thus have a more complete decoration. However, I am happy with how everything is coming together. Bordamos los ojos y la sonrisa. Las mejillas rosadas la recorte en una tela y las cosí con puntadas simples. Un moño sobre la cabeza y ya tenemos una linda galletita de jengibre. Me habría gustado hacer varias y colocarlas sobre la guirnalda de mi ventana, la cual aún no termino. Creo que otra vez me quedaré corta, aunque haya empezado muchísimo tiempo antes. En fin. Cada año iré juntando los adornos con los del año anterior y así tener una decoración más completa. No obstante, estoy feliz como va quedando todo. Hasta la próxima.
