Hello everybody,
I'm back. Our lights is now back and I can crochet even at night. I just resume crocheting after I parked my hook for almost a month. I started my top actually and named it Odette, but until now not yet done with so many distractions. Then, I started a checkered bag but still not yet finish. Then, the other night my FB friend ordered from me a lilac hat. I am happy because I thought I have no lilac available. When I checked my stash I still have 3 rolls.
I started making the bucket hat the other day. Then, finished this afternoon. Here it is.
How I made the hat.
With tiny cord And using 2mm steel hook Round(Rnd) 1: 12 half double crochet (hdc) in a ring, do not join.
Rnd 2: in continues round, 2 hdc in each previous 12hdc. (24hdc)
Rnd 3: 1 hdc, 2hdc in each previous hdc. (36hdc)
Rnd 4: 1hdc, 1hdc, 2 hdc repeat all around. (48hdc)
Rnd 5: 1 hdc, 1hdc, 1 hdc repeat all around. (60hdc)
Rnd 6: 1hdc in each hdc. (60hdc)
Rnd 7: 1hdc, 1hdc, 2 hdc, 1hdc, 1 hdc (72hdc)
Rnd 8: 1 hdc each all around. (72hdc)
Rnd 9: 1hdc in each 5 hdc, 2 hdc all around. (84hdc)
Rnd 10 to Rnd 21: 1hdc in each hdc (84hdc)
Rnd 22: change color to dark violet. 1 single crochet(sc) in each hdc (84sc)
Rnd 23: change to lilac again Chain(ch) 2, {2 double crochet(dc), 1dc} repeat all around. (127dc)
Rnd 24: change color to dark violet 1sc in each stitch.
(127dc)
Row 25: change to lilac 1dc all around. (127)
Rnd 26: 1dc in each 10 stitch, 2dc repeat all around. (138dc)
Rnd 27: change to dark violet, 1sc in each stitch (138dc)
Rnd 28: change to lilac 1dc each stitch (138dc)
Rnd 29: 1dc in each 10dc, 2dc in next stitch repeat all around.
(150dc)
Rnd 30: change to dark violet 1 reverse sc in each stitch. (150rsc)
End.
When I was in Round 26 the yarn holder was dislodge. It slowed my pace. I really thought I can finished it last Saturday but oh oh...It took me an hour to unravel the cord.
I should lost my patience but I just calm my self until I tamed the cord.
Patience is a must in crocheting. Until hot off the hook on a Monday.
Actually before this project I have to work-in-progress, my own top I named Odette just like the super typhoon Odette.
Plus my own checkered bag...
Plus plus my pending sunflower curtain...oh, oh many pending projects.
When this Lilac Bucket Hat was done I send my friend the pictures, she like it and want another one color maroon. Hmm, busy hands ahead.
Thanks for dropping by till next post...

I love the colors combination you used for the hat.
Also I like the black and blue bag. I hope you can finish all your projects and you can share them with us.
Yeah, always starting a project, time is lacking, hope I can finish them all. Thank you for the greetings @kattycrochet.
i usually see tiny cord being used on bags and glad to see it being used on bucket hats...sobrang sturdy niya for sure at hindi maghimulmol talaga..hindi po ba masakit sa kamay ang tiny cord?
I'm glad you finally got your electricity back. The hat is really great! I am sure that you will gradually finish all your projects
