MY BECKING STOCK HALF SHOE

Hello everyone on this beautiful platform. I trust that our day has been good even though some of us have had a damn busy day and week.
I haven't been able to get to have enough rest this week but thank God it is weekend already and work is seemingly on partial hold up until Monday.

Since I have been away for a while, I am here today to give your sight a quick delicacy. Sit back and read please.

Well, what is it about actually? You may want to ask. It's really not a big deal here, I just wanted to show you how I made a half-shoe for a client of mine within the week.

This person placed his order on Monday but as a matter of practice I give few days before collection even if I can finish a job within hours of collection. This is to ensure perfectness and an awesome neatness.

MATERIALS USED

1. Becking stock sole
2. Chewing gum sole
3. Shoe welt
4. Buckle
5. Fiber
6. Black suede top
7. Lining
8. Gum
9. Sewing machine
10. Finishing chemical
11. Scissors

STEP BY STEP PROCESS OF HOW I MADE IT

First step
I first collected the materials needed and the top pattern of the design I wanted to bring out. I ensured that almost all I needed is close by to avoid standing and moving around times without number.

Second step
After collecting everything I needed, the next thing I did was to mark out the design on the material and cut it out. The design is a simple one looking like a mocassin type of shoe.

Next step

After cutting out, I simply gummed the top design to a lining to ensure maximum strength and shape and thereafter attached the buckle on the buckle line to it.
I also alongside, prepared the sole into what is needed for the size since the sole is not ready made, I will have to build it myself.

I also linined the floor of the becking stock insole with a black leather.

After all these, i proceeded to another multi-task which includes lasting the top and filing the chewing gum sole I built for the becking stock. Then I proceeded to attaching the individual parts together.

Then, when all has been done and concluded, I did the finishing touch using the finishing chemical on the edges. this is the outcome afterwards.

Though I had a challenge while fixing the becking stock to the sole, it appeared as if I didn't measure well but experience made me an overcomer and the outcome didn't in any way affect my client.
