It Hurts When You Cancel Your Order

(Edited on Canva)

One afternoon, I was busy making and preparing flowers for future orders. As I shared with you last time, my hands got numb after almost non-stop crocheting for three days.

I received a chat message from a stranger asking for an available flower bouquet that could be delivered within the day. As I have already prepared some flowers, I sent him some flower bouquets that I had made in the past that can be easily arranged and wrapped.

I asked him his location and realized that he's in Bacolod City, where I have to travel 2 hours before I reach his location. I told him that I have my flower bouquets also displayed at Ayala Malls, but he wanted the specific flower bouquet that I don't have in Ayala.

This was a sample of my previous flower bouquet.

He agreed on the price I offered and immediately asked my G-cash number to send his payment together with the shipping fees.

After receiving the full amount of his payment, I immediately arrange the flowers and wrapped them when he message me again saying that he can't wait the flowers at his home address the next day as he will be leaving and wanted to pick up the flower bouquet at the Ayala Malls.

I was at the last part of tying the ribbons that time. I couldn't grant his wish of picking up the flower bouquet at the Ayala Malls as our delivery of products to Ayala is scheduled every 1st week and 3rd week of the month. And he ordered a day after the delivery to Ayala was made. 😞

The one I made after he paid.

I gave him other options in which he can pick up the flower bouquet at the North Bus Terminal at Bacolod City but he didn't want to. He then cancelled his order and urge me to send his money in full.

I was heartbroken at that time but there's nothing I could do. I asked his G-cash number and sent the whole amount right away.

I wanted to block his account in Facebook right at that moment so he couldn't order again in the future but then I realized that maybe someday he could pursue his order completely. But I had to make sure he will have more time to wait for his order at home and be able to meet all his requests.

That time, I just continued tying the ribbon of the flower bouquet and put it in a box to protect it from the dust while I'm feeling devastated.

I then proceed to other stuff of making crochet earrings to divert my attention as I almost on the verge of crying. These earrings will be displayed at Ayala Malls in the next delivery.

Aww so sorry about that. This is one part of the business I hate the most. He would've just collected it just for the fact that you had to stress yourself a lot just for him.
And it's good you didn't block him , you'd never know

Well, he doesn't care about my effort. All he can think of was his own desires to be met. And I don't like this kind of customers, that are so demanding. It seems like they're not worthy to receive my beautiful flowers. 🤣

And that's not right. Some customers forget that a lot of hard work has to go into making a good product.
Hahaha, I totally get😂

True, they didn't mind it unless they're the one who made it. And maybe a very few who understand the hard work without doing it.

So my mindset for this kind of customer? Ignore the heartache and proceed to the next customer. 😁

Yeah, that's the best thing to do ❤️. Have a great day today 💗

I am very sorry, it is horrible to have an order cancelled, but it is important to remember that it is not your fault, you offered several solutions to the customer and in the end he didn't want any of them. Remember that for every customer like that, there are 100 who won't cancel your order, so keep your spirits up!

Yeah, you're right @ibet. There will be more rightful and good customers that will come my way. Thanks for your encouragement dear. 🥰

Eyea, so sorry about that, this is why most business owners have terms and conditions attached as a business policy, because you've already gone through some stress even before delivery, not that he even gets the chance to see the flowers.

A better client is on the way, don't worry

True, I'm also looking forward to a more passionate, and appreciative customer in the future.

Thanks for the uplifting comment @glorydee. 🥰

That is really unfair of him. At least he should have compensated you for your time and probably pickup the gift as a next surprise package. I believe that they will always be useful.

Cheerup dearie , a better clients will pay you well for the stress used to make that.
Well done dear

Oh thank you Monica. I really value your words of encouragement. 🥰

I am very sorry, it was an unfair person, the truth is that they are customers who demand a lot in exchange for nothing, because they do not even realize the inconvenience they cause, and the sadness they leave, but you will see that after all, you will be rewarded and multiplied.💝

Exactly! He's not worth it to receive those lovely flowers I made. They're just meant for someone who knows how to value and know the value of handmade products. Thank you for your word of encouragement dear Laura. 🥰

Always attentive my dear friend, I hope all goes well, you deserve the best customers.❤️

Hi. In fact, this experience has taught you a lot. I have not been through this. In my case, before receiving an order, they have to deposit 50%, although they usually deposit everything. That amount covers materials and labour and there is no refund because it is time worked.

I made his order as soon as he send the full payment plus the delivery fee. That is why I'm so confident of making his order and since I have already the flowers. I just have to arrange them and wrap them and then have it delivered.
