Creo que por estas fechas es común tratar de terminar lo que algún día empazamos, jaja. A inicios de esta año me propuse tejer muñecos grandes para aprender y manejar la técnica.
Hace años adquirí este patrón de un curioso monstrito. La diseñadora dinegurumi tiene personajes muy bonitos, grandes y bien detallados. En ese momento me llamó la atención sus personajes, ahora también.

Years ago I purchased this pattern of a very curious monster. The designer dinegurumi has very nice, large and well detailed characters. At that time I was attracted to her characters, now I am too.

Al ser un muñeco grande (por el cuerpo robusto) tenía que tener suficiente hilo disponible para el color principal. Y el elegido fue un azul pastel o azul bebé. También porque este muñeco está dirigido a los niños. La cabeza y el cuerpo fueron tejidas por separado, aunque tienen estructura similares.
Being a big doll (because of the sturdy body) I had to have enough yarn available for the main color. And the chosen one was a pastel blue or baby blue. Also because this doll is aimed at children. The head and body were woven separately, although they have a similar structure.
Las orejas las tejí por febrero, cuando estaba explorando la tensión del crochet y con cuál me quedaría. El resultado fue que una oreja quedó más pequeña que la otra.

Lo que Diana del pasado sabía eran que cada pieza tiene su particularidad, ahora lo sé porque lo estoy tejiendo. Este patrón tiene bastantes detalles en cuanto a la estructura del muñeco en conjunto. Y veo que hay algunas piezas que llevarán alambre, eso no me lo esperaba.
Me queda casi una semana para terminar a este curioso monstrito y abrazarnos y decirle ¡Feliz año!... jaja. ¿Para tí también es un reto tejer muñecos grandes?.
