What have I knitted/crocheted? / Qué he tejido? (esp/eng)

Hola, amigos de NeedleWorkMonday!!!

Hace mucho tiempo no escribía aquí, a pesar de haber hecho algunos trabajos y tener algo de actividad en hive, pero solamente leyendo sus posts.
Recuerdo que la última vez que escribí fue sobre el desafío "My NeedleWork Bucket List", en el que conté que no estaba conforme con tener mis lanas restantes sin utilizar porque me sentía estancada. El concurso ya finalizó hace varias semanas, pero antes de retomar mi actividad en hive necesito mostrar cómo solucioné mi lista pendiente.

Primero quiero pedirles disculpas a las organizadoras por hacer esto fuera de tiempo y tambien explicarles el porqué.
Espero ser breve: hace varios meses me mudé a un lugar que está un poco alejado de la zona céntrica, por lo que tenemos problemas con el transporte y los horarios. Esta mudanza también implicaba conseguir un nuevo trabajo cerca y ahí es donde surgió mi problema, pues aquí hay muy pocas ofertas laborales y mucha demanda. Eso me puso muy mal, he estado muy preocupada, y SOLAMENTE PODÍA PENSAR EN ESO Y DESESPERARME. Aún ese asunto no lo solucioné, se me vienen a la mente algunas ideas, como capacitarme en algo nuevo o invertir mis ahorros, lo cual es muy riesgoso, teniendo en cuenta que los insumos están muy caros y el consumo aquí ha bajado considerablemente. Perdón por contarles mis problemas pero debía una explcación.
Pero hoy es de esos días en los que me siento "lúcida" y también puedo pensar en otras cosas, como hacer este post que lo tenía pendiente. Espero tener más días así.

It's been a long time since I wrote here, despite having done some works and having some activity on hive, but only reading your posts.

I remember the last time I wrote was about the "My NeedleWork Bucket List" challenge, in which I told you that I was not happy with having my remaining unused yarns because I felt stuck. The contest ended several weeks ago, but before return to my activity on hive I need to show you how I solved my pending list.

I apologize for doing this out of time and also want to explain why.
I hope to be brief: several months ago I moved to a place that is a bit far away from the downtown area, so we have problems with transportation and schedules. This move also meant getting a new job nearby and that's when my problem began, because here there are very few job offers and a lot of demand. That made me very upset, I have been very worried, and I COULD ONLY THINK ABOUT IT AND GET DESPERATE. I still haven't solved the problem, I have some ideas in my mind, such as training in something new or investing my savings, and it is very risky, considering that supplies are very expensive and consumption here has dropped considerably. Sorry for telling you about my problems but I was due an explanation.
But today is one of those days when I feel "lucid" and I can also think about other things, like doing this post that I had pending. I hope to have more days like this.

Mi primer tejido lo comencé en cuanto escribí sobre mi bucket list. Recuerdo estaba súper entusiasmada por tejer este sueter que vi en pinterest porque ME ENCANTABA, y esta era mi oportunidad. Además nunca había tejido un suéter para niña.
Primero hice simplemente un sueter con manga raglan y luego encontré en youtube un tutorial de cómo hacer los volados, es una técnica muy fácil que quisiera volver a usarla en otro trabajo.

I started my first knitting as soon as I wrote about my bucket list. I remember I was super excited to knit this sweater I saw on pinterest because I LOVED IT, and this was my chance. Plus I had never knitted a girl's sweater before.
First I simply made a sweater with raglan sleeves and then I found on youtube a tutorial on how to do the ruffles, it's a very easy technique that I'd like to use again in another work.

Con el color camel tejí una diadema de invierno. Es un diseño que mostré hace un tiempo aquí y lo repetí poque es bastante elástizada y fácil de tejer.

With the colour camel I crocheted a winter headband. It's a design I showed some time ago here and I repeated it because it's quite elastic and easy to crochet.

Con los hilos de algodón, como pensaba que no me iban a alcanzar para hacer prendas grandes, hice accesorios.
Primero hice scrunchies, usando una técnica de tejido bastante interesante que solo requiere coser la unión en los extremos.

With the cotton yarns, as I didn't think I would have enough to make large garments, I made accessories.
First I made scrunchies, using a interesting knitting technique that only requires sewing the ends together.

Luego,las bandanas que encontré en un tutorial de youtube y las decoré con flores porque vi unas así en pinterest.

Then, the bandanas I found in a youtube tutorial and I decorated them with flowers because I saw some like that on pinterest.

Y los ultimos accesorios de algodón que hice fueron unos moñitos para decorar coleteros, siguiendo el patrón que publicó una usuaria de hive.

And the last cotton accessories I made were some little bows to decorate scrunchies, following the pattern posted by a hive user.

Y al final usé los hilos que más me molestaban: los de invierno que no combinaban. Decidí hacer bufandas circulares, ya que llevan poca lana. Los tejí para vender, pero solo venderé estos y probablemente solo recupere el costo de las lanas, que aumentaron mucho de precio y la gente no quiere pagar lo que vale la mano de obra (por eso descarté la opción de hacer dinero tejiendo este invierno) pero prefiero eso a tenerlas guardadas.

And finally I used the yarns that bothered me the most: the winter ones that didn't match. I decided to make circular scarfs, as they take very little wool. I knitted them to sell, but I will only sell these and I will probably only recover the cost of the yarns, which have increased a lot in price and people don't want to pay what labour costs (that's why I discarded the option of making money knitting this winter) but I prefer that to having them in my box.

¿Logré mi objetivo?
SÍ!Los hilos acrílicos de invierno se redujeron tejiendo las bufandas y ya no molestan.

¿Quedaron hilos utilizables?
SÍ, de hecho apareció uno "nuevo" color celeste a la lista, que me sobró de cuando hice una remera. Pero son estos hilos de algodón, que son combinables y que pienso usar para los próximos trabajos que tengo en mente, hasta que renueve mi stock.

Did I achieve my goal?
YES, the winter acrylic yarns were reduced when knitting the scarves and are no longer in the way.

Are there any usable yarns left?
YES, in fact a "new" light blue one appeared on the list, left over from when I made a t-shirt. But they are cotton yarns, which are combinable and which I plan to use for the next works I have in mind, until I renew my stock.

Este desafío también me sirvió para darme cuenta de que tengo que ser cuidadosa a la hora hacer mis compras (aprender sobre marcas, colores, y tipos de lanas), creo que para convertirme en una buena tejedora también debo saber elegir bien mis materiales, así en lugar de "estorbarme" me motiven a utilizarlos.

This challenge also helped me to realise that I have to be careful when making my purchases (learning about brands, colours, and types of yarns), I think that to become a good knitter I also have to know how to choose my materials well, so that instead of "getting in my way" they motivate me to use them.
