1.fold the material into 2 unequal parts,Mark a desired length on your material.

  1. From the top take 8/8.5 for your hip length depending on how wide your hip is.
  2. The top most part serves as the waist, so go vertically mark your waist measurement divided by 4.
  3. At the point you marked your hip length, mark your hip measurement divided by 4 vertically into the material.
  4. add sewing allowance and Cut it out.

Join it up, to put some spice on my skirt, I prepared a gathers band for the hem of my skirt

I cut a straight material, ran two loose lines in the middle to enable drag it to gather up.

That's how it will look. I placed it all round the ending of my skirt. Fixed the zip and my skirt is ready.

You can rock it however where you want.

This is super. I almost thought you ran a smoking thread through the middle of the gathers not until I looked closely. Nice job, wel done

Thanks dear!
