Hace mucho que no lograba llegar a tiempo un lunes, pero es que después de lo mucho que disfruté haciendo a Totoro y de los excelentes resultados, ya no quise soltar el crochet.

Quería hacer algo para mí hijo y aunque él ya es adulto sé que aprecia tener en su decoración un amigurumi hecho por mí, sobre todo si es de alguno de sus personajes favoritos.

La verdad es que la elección se basó, principalmente, en los colores que tenía disponibles, pero resultaron perfectos para hacer a BMO, un personaje de la serie animada "hora de aventura", que es una serie que le gusta a mi hijo. Incluso él tiene tatuado a este personaje.

Pensé que era una elección facil pero me encontré con varias dificultades en el camino. La marca del estambre azul era distinta a la del estambre gris con el que hice a Totoro y también era de una calidad distinta. Lamentablemente el azul era de menor calidad y se deshilachaba un poco mientras tejía, lo que me complicó un poco realizar algunas piezas.

Los bracitos no tenían esa forma en el patrón que estaba siguiendo, en el original eran cilindricos, pero cada vez que intenté hacerlos quedaban deformes, así que opté por hacerlos de otra manera. Ya sé que esa marca no me conviene para este tipo de proyectos.

Voy a necesitar equiparme con más agujas de números más variados para trabajar más a gusto, pues solo tengo 2 y algunas piezas requieren unas que no tengo.

Sea como sea estoy muy contenta con el resultado y a mi hijo le encantó. Hay mucho que aprender y mucho que mejorar, pero vamos poco a poco, después de todo nadie nos está apurando.

Cuando empecé con el crochet este era realmente mi objetivo, tejer estos muñecos tan lindos y por eso estoy muy feliz, ya que ahora estoy cumpliendo mi meta, esa que pensé que era muy difícil de lograr.

Y así, Totoro ganó un nuevo amigo.

It's been a long time since I was able to make it to a Monday on time, but after how much I enjoyed making Totoro and the excellent results, I didn't want to stop crocheting.

I wanted to make something for my son and although he is already an adult, I know that he appreciates having an amigurumi made by me in his decoration, especially if it is of one of his favorite characters.

The truth is that the choice was based mainly on the colors I had available, but they turned out perfect to make BMO, a character from the animated series "Adventure Time", which is a series that my son likes. He even has this character tattooed.

I thought it was an easy choice but I encountered several difficulties along the way. The brand of the blue yarn was different from the grey yarn I used to make Totoro and it was also of a different quality. Unfortunately, the blue yarn was of lower quality and frayed a bit while I was knitting, which made it a bit difficult for me to make some pieces.

The little arms were not shaped like that in the pattern I was following, in the original they were cylindrical, but every time I tried to make them they were deformed, so I decided to make them another way. I already know that this brand is not suitable for this type of project.

I'm going to need to equip myself with more needles of more varied sizes to work more comfortably, since I only have 2 and some pieces require some that I don't have.

Either way, I'm very happy with the result and my son loved it. There's a lot to learn and a lot to improve, but we're going little by little, after all, nobody is rushing us.

When I started crocheting, this was really my goal, to knit these cute dolls, and that's why I'm very happy, because now I'm achieving my goal, the one I thought was very difficult to achieve.

And so, Totoro gained a new friend.
