I'm back with another (diaryofa)creative update!💥
@clareartista and I had the first proper night of sleep in ages. It was much needed...
Today seems to be a calm, sunny, late Autumn day with a moderate 15-ish Celsius temperature.
Not too shabby.
Clare is needleworking/sewing upstairs, while I am writing this at the kitchen table downstairs. I am dressed in my boxers, to cool down after a late morning shower.
Earlier this morning, while having an amazing breakfast of savory pancakes with cacao nibs and tiny pieces of Brazil nuts, we were talking about the plush animal that Clare started working on, yesterday. She had turned a green woolen sweater into felt, by washing it at a high temperature. A technique I hadn't heard of. The stuffed animal is made of felt.
Yesterday afternoon, this cute green fellow looked like this:
but how can it hear without ears?
Later, Clare decided that it needed ears too and we decided to go for big, rabbit like ears.
Then, this morning, we talked about what kind of face to give it.
Sitting at the table, I started drawing funny noses and rabbit faces with buttons for eyes.
I even turned two of the weirdest looking noses into rabbit ears, leading to the face at the top right:
Fifteen minutes ago, Clare sent me a picture of the stuffed animal's mouth. It looked cute and fun.
This furry friend will be gifted to my twin sister's baby boy, who was born a mere 10 days ago.
We will be paying them a visit this afternoon, to go and see the li'l boy that we've only seen on photos so far. And to find out how my sister is doing.

It is not easy to make such things by hand, it takes a lot of time and effort, then go and prepare such beautiful things.
