My Rush Hour dress .

Hello Needle workers.
Hope you had an amazing weekend.
My weekend was quite hectic.
I do hope we have a great week tho .

Have you ever made a dress on the day you have to use it ?
Well I have only once and it's the second time I'll try this 😄.
We were supposed to use Ankara in church as a uniform but I didn't have any I liked in my wardrobe so I decided to make something simple yet elegant.
I'd stayed all through the day thinking of a style to make but didn't have any till it was almost evening.
I rushed to get a material since I'd planed to combine the Ankara with another material.

I quickly drafted out a princess bustier on the top of my dress, cut it out and proceeded to sew and i also ran gathers on the Ankara .

The dress looked quite ordinary so I decided to bead the neckline with some of my left over beads.
I'd started by 12:03 am and I finished by 4:00 am,I had to take a rest though before I came back to bend the hem of my dress.

For my dress I used :
1yard of poly fabric
3 yards of Ankara
Beads
And a zip
I didn't use any lining since my dress thick and gathered plus the weather is quite hot here.
So what do y'all think about my dress 😊.

Sort:

The result doesn't look like the rush,😄
It turned out beautiful.
I don't like sewing dresses for myself when I'm rushing, it's usually a disaster when I do.

Really 😄
Thank you so much.

Yes ooo....😁
You're much welcome
