It is simply but very beautiful and functional: I really like how you took it apart and remade it... and I love your story of revisiting old clothes after some years - I do that, and often find unexpected treasures that e.g. didn't fit before, but now do - or which I need for a current project... I adore trawling through all kinds of old things, and seeing what can be salvaged!
