I bring you all greetings on this lovely day, I hope you had a great time out there at your respective places of work, for me today is one of the days I feel like not doing anything but unfortunately, it didn't happen as I planned, though I was happy because I got the chance to put a smile on someone's face as I made this beautiful small cosmetics purse for my niece's friend and it is my pleasure to share the cutting and sewing process with you here. It is simple, easy and useful and I'm sure you will like the final outcome.

Few days ago, I made a boxy shape purse for my niece which she likes so much, she then told her friends that I made the purse for her, her friends in said they like it that they wish they have something as nice and small as this just I made for their friend, then I promised to make some and give it out to them as a gift, this is the first one I made for the girls while others will follow subsequently.

Cutting and sewing process of this simple purse.

I measured and cut out 15 x 9" from a piece of fabric with lining and interfacing while the interfacing was ironed on the main fabric.

The two edges of the main fabric were folded to the middle and I marked out 1.5" on the edges before it was cut out.

The main fabric was opened up and placed on the lining to cut out same shape.

I took a black zipper and sew it on the main fabric with the lining while I top stitched on both sides before it was folded together with the zipper in the middle.

I sew on both sides and the 4 edges while i trimmed off the zipper excess, I made a small piece of handle and sew it on both sides of the opening

Finally, it was turned inside out and I have this small cosmetic purse made for my niece's friend as a gift.
