Happy new week and a beautiful Monday morning to you all #needleworker. Today being Monday, it is time to show our different creativity @needleworkmonday and today, as usual, I will be sharing with you the finished process of a short gown I made for my little sister on her birthday.

Yesterday, I made a post on how I drafted out the bodice of the dress and how I cut and sew the dress but after sewing, the dress was too short to the measurement I took but I have exhaust the 1yard of fabric she bought.

Thinking of what to add to the dress to make it longer and also to the sleeves, I remembered I had a left over black organza, when I checked, it was about 2yards, so I decided to use it for the sleeves and also to add to the hem of the dress.

I cut out 1440 flare (360° flare in 4 places) which I took to the market and weave it thick fishing line to make the flare stand.

After that, I cut out the sleeves and added 2" sequence as band to the wrist.

Finally, this is the beautiful outcome of the dress.
