Its a beautiful day out here and i bring you a warm greetings from my sewing room, i hope you are all doing great on this beautiful day. Today, i will be sharing with you with great pleasure the cutting and sewing process of this cute hand bag i made with the combination of two colors of fabric for my little niece for Christmas.

To make this bag, i tried as much as possible to use the combination of Christmas colors, but this is what i could lay my hands on from my pieces of fabric and it was just perfect for what i intend to make for my niece. As Christmas is fast approaching, i will be making an outfit for my sister and her children and before now, i had promised to make a small bag for the girls to complement their outfit so, this is the small bag i made with zipper and handle for her to hold. Im sure you will like the beautiful outcome

Let me take you through the cutting and sewing process of this cute hand bag

I measured and cut out 10 x 8.5" of fabric

I measured and cut out 2 pieces of 10 x 5" from another piece of fabric

These pieces of fabric were sewn to the up and down of the main fabric and top stitch on it on the right side while i cut out interfacing and iron it on it

It was folded in two on the wrong side and i measured 1" on the base and at the top, i measured 1.5" and it was connected to the 1" at the base

It was connected and cut out

It was opened and i marked 2" at the top from the left and right

I measured and cut out 2 pieces of 15 x 3" of the red fabric to make the handle , it was folded and sewn on both sides

The handle was placed on the 2" i marked and was sewn together on both sides, then i sew a zipper at the top with lining.

Then i folded the main fabric to main fabric and lining to lining

I sew on both sides leaving an opening on the lining were it can be turned to the right side

The four corners were also sewn together on the main fabric and lining

Finally, it was turned inside out tobthe right side through the opening on the lining and zipper opening, it is the final and beautiful outcome.

Im glad that i was able to make this bag for my little niece, now she has a cute hand bag to carry on Christmas day to complement her outfit.
