On this Monday of knitting, I bring you a new creation that makes me very happy. This time, it's a set of Christmas doilies that are perfect for decorating the table, a shelf, or any special corner of the house. I knitted them with 100% acrylic yarn and a 3 mm needle, perfect for giving them firmness and a nice drape.
I started by crocheting a circle of four rounds of double crochet stitches with increases, using an ecru color that I love for the base. On the fifth round, using a very pretty Christmas red, I formed groups of four double crochet stitches joined together in one, separated by two chains, and in the same stitch another four double crochet stitches joined together. Then I crocheted three separation chains, leaving three stitches uncrocheted, and repeated this sequence around the circle.
To finish the design, I used green yarn for the last round. I started with three single crochets and, in the chains left between the joined stitches, I crocheted six double crochets. Then I continued with three more single crochets, repeating the series until I completed the outline.

En este lunes de agujas traigo una nueva creación que me tiene muy contenta. Esta vez son unos tapetitos navideños ideales para decorar la mesa, una repisa o cualquier rinconcito especial de la casa. Los tejí con lana 100% acrílica y una aguja de 3 mm, perfectos para darles firmeza y una buena caída.
Comencé tejiendo un círculo de cuatro vueltas de varetas con sus aumentos, usando un tono crudo que me encanta para la base. En la quinta vuelta, con un rojo navideño muy bonito, fui formando grupos de cuatro puntos altos unidos en uno solo, separados por dos cadenas, y en el mismo punto otros cuatro puntos altos unidos. Después tejí tres cadenas de separación, dejando tres puntos sin tejer, y repetí esta secuencia alrededor.
Para cerrar el diseño, en la última vuelta utilicé hilo verde. Empecé con tres puntos bajos y, en las cadenas que quedaron entre los puntos unidos, tejí seis puntos altos. Luego seguí con tres puntos bajos más, repitiendo la serie hasta completar el contorno.

I loved the result. Each doily had its own unique touch, full of color and Christmas spirit. As I finished them, I imagined how they would look accompanying a candle, under a special cup, or highlighting a detail in the living room.
These doilies are the latest addition to my Christmas knitting projects, and I'm excited about the possibilities they offer for decorating the house. I'm not going to sell these; I knitted them for myself. Now I just have to decide where to put each one, because they all deserve a special place.
El resultado me encantó. Cada tapetito quedó con un toque muy propio, lleno de color y del espíritu navideño. Mientras los iba terminando, ya me imaginaba cómo podían lucir acompañando una vela, debajo de una tacita especial o resaltando algún detalle en la sala.
Estos tapetitos se suman a mis tejidos navideños y me emocionan las posibilidades que abren para decorar la casa. Les cuento que estos no los voy a vender, los tejí para mí, ahora solo me queda decidir en qué rinconcito colocar cada uno, porque todos merecen un lugar especial.
