Les quiero mostrar cómo le recreé a mi Barbie el icónico traje de baño de la Barbie que llevó en 1959 a rayas tipo enterizo con escote en la espalda, estaré transladando a mi Barbie a los años 50-60 con este hermoso raje de baño a rayas,mi abuela hace algún mes me regaló una bolsa llena de retazos pequeños que uso para hacerle ropa a mis Barbies y dentro de ella encontré este retazo de tela de rayas que bueno no estira pero que me decidí a hacerle el traje de baño mas holgado en la parte del pecho para que le pudiese entrar o meterselo por la parte de abajo,la verdad no me quedó tan perfecto a el original pero para ser un retazo de tela que no estira pues siento se ve muy bien.

I want to show you how I recreated my Barbie's iconic striped swimsuit that she wore in 1959, a one-piece suit with a low-cut back. Paso 01

Para el primer paso estaremos cortando las piezas tanto de la parte delantera como la de atrás como saben la de atrás tiene escotes,estos patrones que he hecho no les dejé pues el centímetro para poder coserlo así que vamos a agregarselo ,por todo corté cuatro piezas y cosemos las piezas vamos a unirlas las de adelante y atrás con costura esto yo lo estaré cosiendo a mano ya que se me es mas facil poder coser asi las piezas pequeñas,he unido la pieza delantera y cosí las pequeñas pinzas del busto.

Step 01

Paso 02

Vamos a pasar a unir la pieza de atrás por el medio y cuando la tengamos listas ambas piezas pues cosemos así por los costados nuestro traje de baño para luego coser abajo en la parte del tiro y volteamos después la pieza para apreciar como nos ha quedado y para ir midiendole el traje de baño a nuestra Barbie.

Step 02

We are going to join the back piece in the middle and when we have both pieces ready, we will sew the sides of our swimsuit and then sew the bottom along the hem. We will then turn the piece over to see how it looks and to measure the swimsuit on our Barbie.

Paso 03

Una vez que hayamos cosido nuestro traje de baño cosí por todo el borde del busto un pequeño dobladillo igual en la parte de cada pierna también haré un dobladillo y lo he cosido para rematar bien y que la pieza nos quedé con un buen acabado y así la termino.

Después vamos a estar haciendo la bolsita de la Barbie donde llevará sus cosas para la playa, estaré cortando un pequeño cuadro de tela de terciopelo coseré los bordes del cuadro y lo volteo por la parte superior después estaré cosiendo la mariposa que he sacado de un trozo de tela de mariposas ,lo cosí por todo el borde y después con dos tiras de la misma tela algo delgadas las estaré cosiendo por cada parte de la bolsita para hacer las asas y así es como queda de linda está bolsita.

Next we are going to be making Barbie's bag where she will carry her things for the beach, I will be cutting a small square of velvet fabric, I will sew the edges of the square and I will turn it over from the top, then I will be sewing the butterfly that I took from a piece of butterfly fabric, I sewed it around the entire edge and then with two strips of the same fabric that are somewhat thin I will be sewing them on each side of the bag to make the handles and that is how pretty this bag looks.
