My weekend in the Son Tra Jungle

in WE ARE MOVING3 years ago

Hello Hivers, how was your weekend?

Finally, after a long week of intense work, it's time to take a week off. Re-energize the body at the same time before starting a new career. Last weekend, I went on a trip to Son Tra Peninsula with one of my colleagues; when it comes to Danang, we cannot overlook Son Tra Peninsula, which is about 10 kilometers from the city center.

There is a new regulation that only motorbikes may be taken to the top of Son Tra's mountain, so that the points around it can be avoided. The road to Son Tra has been reopened to the public again. It is a requirement to declare health before riding the scooter, and when going up the mountain, people must have been vaccinated once.

We intended to go hiking in the forest few hours and will return to the city later, but the trails were unexpectedly longer than we thought so we couldn't distinguish the way back to the city. October is here or there is rain in the forest, it is getting darker quickly, the road is slippery and steep, I am so scared right now that the rain will soak into me.

Because it was quite dark, we decided to stay in the forest for one night. Our food was enough to last until morning, and since I wasn't at home, I slept in a hammock and built a reinforced sheet to protect me from the rain. . It was the first time I got lost and slept in the forest, but when the night fell, we attracted a small fire to redefine the clothes, so that the wild animals would not approach us. At night, the forest is quiet as mist descends from the mountain, creating a mysterious frame in the darkness. Due to the wet rains, it was quite cold in the forest at night, but thanks to the fire we were warm.

When dawn appears, the sound of wild chickens in the mountains sounds, signaling the beginning of a new day. I am enjoying this perfect moment in the forest, the sound of streams flowing, the singing of birds, and spotting a family of langurs. I attempted to take a picture with my camera, but they bailed. Langur, also known as the primate queen, is a symbol of Son Tra peninsula and seen as a beauty of Danang city when tourists visit Son Tra island. We played in the jungle all day and left for the screening at that time, a weekend outing that was hard, yet in the end more memorable and experiential.

Thank you for reading and viewing my post, wish you a productive and happy new week. This is also my entry for the Amazing Nature Contest - October 2021 - #02.

@quin-art
thanks a lot and have a great week

Eres valiente para pasar la noche en el bosque yo no me atrevería, le tengo fobia a las serpientes y sapos, solo imaginar que me tomaré con alguno me eriza la piel, tomastes muy buenas fotos, suerte en el concurso.

Sorry I don't understand but thanks so much.
Have a good day friend

Really a beautiful landscape, I am just as aveturera as you, I would love an improvised night like that in the jungle, nothing more rewarding, relaxing and invigorating than to be in contact with nature and wake up with her. In love with your photos, they were great.

Thanks so much, I am happy that you like them. My friend asked me why do I like to spend a night in the jungle but they don't know that it's chilled and relaxed when we stay with nature.

Another awesome post I see where you get your username from @whynotcamp 🤣 pretty cool 👍

Don't think I'd be able to spend a night out in wild, sounds scary. 😳😳
At the same time I bet it's an amazing experience. 😊😊😊

Thanks a lot. It was a great experience. If you stay in the wild forest with friends, no need to be scary.

Thanks buddy good choices you made 👍

awesome photo-story! curious to know what devices / lens did you use to capture those pictures. (there was pretty dark in the forest, as I can guess?)

Thank you. It was about to rain and late 5pm so it looked dark. the photos are taken by Nikon D750 (lens 35 & 50mm)

super! 50mm is my personal fave, and 16-35 is what I am using as wide angle, but I am with canon). wish you well!

This is heavenly! ❤️😩
