We were blessed to be able to go out for a day up the Ord River with a friend on the boat! What a lovely experience, nature at its finest! Although over the years we've spent much time in the town of Kununurra and have visited and swam in the Ord River many times, it's always a completely different experience to be on a boat and exploring the river. The scenery is spectacular, the water is cool and refreshing to swim in as the day time temperatures can sore up to 50 degrees Celsius, on this day it was 42 degrees and jumping into the water was lovely and refreshing. Jumping off the cliffs is exhilarating, but can be dangerous if you have not had experience in landing into water from a height correctly, don't try it at home😉 also having someone check to make sure there are no freshwater crocodiles swimming under or nearby. Generally the freshwater crocodiles are harmless, but if you enter their territory by getting too close and threaten them they can nip you, it's always a good idea to make sure the coast is clear, when it comes to these intriguing creatures.
One of those moments where we need to say don't try it at home! Such a vast variety of scenery along this beautiful river.
The cliff faces towering over the water look like giant castles.
