Vevčani-Vevčani springs!

This natural beauty is located 14 km from Ohrid and Struga!

At the foot of the beautiful mountain range of Jablanica!

The village is famous for the springs that flow through the village!

With a group from Serbia, we came to visit those famous springs after Ohrid, and to try the specialties of that region in the famous Kutmičevici restaurant.

I was most looking forward to walking to the spring...
I didn't expect that they arranged the paths so beautifully, which curve by the water...

..unfortunately, the big main source dried up and we didn't see that beauty....

But that's why the walk through the forest by the water was refreshing.....

Everyone went to the restaurant and I took another walk with the guide, because he was checking that no one was left behind....

And after lunch I found another path and walked while the others were sitting in the restaurant....

And the place itself is unusual, a combination of new houses and old houses....

The village was created somewhere from the end of the 6th to the beginning of the 8th century, it is believed that it was founded by the Berzites who accepted Christianity at that time.

Since almost Vevčani are a municipality and the only village in that municipality, they have their own passport and their own money.

Of course it is only symbolic. They claim that Mihajlo Pupin came from this village. So there is his sculpture and museum. We didn't get to go around it.

Paths and the sound of water, a beautiful old forest, the soul comes alive in this nature!

I came across beautiful flowers that I didn't recognize...

Only wild cyclamen was known to me, I met it while walking on the hill!
