Flowering observation

in WE ARE MOVING3 years ago

This was my personal project this year. This spring.

To capture the birth and follow the process of growing of some plants and flowers in our garden, photographing them every day.

I have not set a permanent imaging equipment to constantly monitor the behavior of the plants. Sometimes it was raining outside and there was a very strong wind, so I couldn't be there all the time and film everything. But in general, I succeeded in the task I had set for myself.
And I was able to see, follow and understand for myself the whole process. Besides, I guess it all had a deep meaning for me. Because observing nature... maybe it should be seen as a kind of psychotherapy, or a meditative practice.

I began to observe the tulips in the garden when they were at this level:

There is a group of tulips in one place and one single flower in another.
Yet I guess I'll show you here the growing process of the group, because there are already too many pictures of them anyway.

So, this bud belongs to the group of flowers.

So, here end the pictures from the first day of this project.

And this is from the second day.

Fourth day.
You can see the difference just for one day missed.

Fifth day.

IMG_20220426_203100.jpg
Here is another difference.
Something has punched the first bud and this has happened over the night, ie. it was inevitable. In fact, we don't use pesticides in the garden, so there are enough creatures that are able to do that.

Seventh day

Eight day.

IMG_20220426_213107.jpg

And here it is.

IMG_20220426_213146.jpg

Here comes the first gorgeous red flower.

On the ninth day of my observation project.

IMG_20220426_213233.jpg

It's exactly this poor punched bud that flowered first.

IMG_20220426_213257.jpg

And this is how it looked like on the next, tenth day.

IMG_20220426_213456.jpg

How the whole cluster of tulips looked like that day.

IMG_20220426_213604.jpg

And this will be the last day I'm showing you here, in this post, as the pictures turned out to be too many.

IMG_20220426_213728.jpg

So, there will be another post for the next stages of life of these flowers.

You know, they are not very long. And not many.

That's pretty neat that you were able to keep getting out there to show the growth. Tulips are such pretty flowers, too.

I agree. Very pretty, and very short living too. I was kind of blessed with this opportunity 😊

I like the idea and the photos per se, but I think you don’t need these filters on them. I‘d rather see flowers in their natural Colors you know ? It’s a little over saturated but again, just my opinion :3

Hi! On the screen of my computer, I don't see them oversaturated 😢 I guess, it's a matter of calibration and... taste, yes. Thank you for stopping by 😊
