The first forest view is of a tree that is covered in old man's beard lichen otherwise known as Usnea. This is actually a medicinal that can be used as an antimicrobial and anti inflammatory agent. I'm not sure how to use it yet though...Here are a few forest views for this #treetuesday by @old-guy-photos
Later it started to get ready for a rain. This whole grassy area is actually around 6 feet tall and beneath it is a swampy marsh area. I once tried walking through this grass and it turned out to be the grass that cuts you if you brush up against it lol. Never go into a marsh like this...
I found an even more marshy area full of duck weed. In the morning every log is covered in turtles trying to warm up in the sun. But in the evening they are all underwater.
Here is another area of the forest where I look for mushrooms. Sadly not too many were out this evening.
Later on we found a hollow burned out tree and my fiance decided to climb into it.
Here's the view from inside. I really want to bring some mushroom plugs next time for this tree. It would look awesome to have a bunch of mushrooms growing out of the inside of this thing.
Speaking of mushrooms I found a new one that is unidentified. At first I thought these might be baby oyster mushrooms but they appear to be fully grown and are super tiny. They barely get over the size of a nickel. I'll have to search around forever now to identify them.
That's all for this #treetuesday :-)
Enchanted forest! I wouldn’t go there in the night! The green aliens will be having parties! LoL
By the time they get there the mosquitoes will have finished you off.
Lol.
I was surprised to see your 5th picture.
When I took a good look, there was someone inside the big wooden tree, Lol.
But I like nature, your forest picture looks very green.
All the rain has brought out many mushrooms to show for tomorrow. And it makes the forest extra green.
yeah..that's very nice.
