As we get closer to the shortest day of the year the sun is hanging low on the horizon in the morning making for interesting light and this morning it was particularly interesting with the fog that was rolling in.
Fog Creates Colors in the Sunbeams Radiating Through the Trees
I loved the effect of the sunbeams hitting the fog as they broke through the trees.

With the cold and fog a layer of frost was forming on exposed surfaces.

The frost made for some crystally displays on the dried vegetation showing through the snow.

There was more frosty, foggy scenes on the road home as the fog rolled into the spruce trees at the edge of the road.

Another lovely walk in nature reflecting what you see when outdoors, thanks for sharing this little bit of magic we never get to see.
There is supposed to be an eclipse visible in the west today.
Wonder if that will kept the fog around longer.
The clouds moved in so I never got to see the eclipse - would have been fantastic!
Well, there's the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn on December 21 you can try to catch.
