Here are some of our family that we will soon leave behind.
Squirrel said to Robbie, "Hi mate, I wonder if they are going to give us food as well"
I have decided to show you the little things that make us happy in life.
It is called unconditional love, as they have no means to give anything back to us, except to please our eyes and our hearts, that is more than enough for us. I don't know if animals can love, but if they do, I am sure that they would also love us.
Here below you can see from left to right, a squirrel, a dove and Robbie and his wife. All together in peace.
Look carefully and you will see 4 squirrels here and yes the squirrel family has gathered to eat their morning nuts.
All sitting around at breakfast time in the early cold sun.
The dove and Robbie also gathered next to the top squirrel again.
But then Harry, the warhorse arrived and everyone scattered. Nobody wants to argue with Harry and as you see, Sally always eats first.
Our Harry is a real gentleman.
So now we look at them with different eyes, after 2 years of love and care, all of them including the thrushes and the Cape white-eyes will only become fond memories. This also goes for the small dwarf chameleons and so many others. We will never come back here.
But such is life and we have to do what we have to do.
At least one of them will go with wherever we go and when he was small he used to sleep in my shoe every night. Now he is just a 16 year old man.
Sadness is a part of of life just as is joy and sometimes there are dark clouds and at other times bright sun.
Just my way of looking at life.

It is interesting to see so many animals living in harmony with each other.
Thank you and it took a lot of work to get them to trust each other.
We started by singing soft songs to them during feeding and at the beginning 2 years ago it was very wild, but slowly they got used to us and the realized that the other animals will not harm them as they were also just after food that we put down in different sections for each breed and bird specie.
The squirrels still occasionally steal food from the other sections, but that is their nature.

Not yet Lady Joan, I still have some work to do on the house as it has not been maintained for what I was told 15 years before we moved in.
I am replacing all of the ceiling fans with low voltage light fittings and there's some other small jobs like stripping the the very old tiles and retiling the bathroom.
Then I also have 4 steel cupboards full of tools to sell and some other things like a lawn mower and a brush cutting machine.
Yep, Troy is the only certainty.
Maybe by November-December methinks.

Repairs are always ongoing, certain chores put on the back burner that just have to be done. Well sure hope you find some little town where you will find the life you are looking to enjoy.

Problem is that I have to be near a hospital. No clinic can help me.

Them squirrels will definitely miss your family and the nuts they always got from you guys. They may not be able to show or say they love you, but deep down, whatever it is they feel towards their close relatives and partners, they do for you guys.
They will notice the change, but hopefully where you guys move to next, there will be new animals to befriend and take care of.
I choose to see sadness as a part of life to teach us how to endure and to accept. Also the opportunity the shape our characters, but things do not end there, as we know in our hearts that better times will come and that builds hope.
Whatever the squirrels do, we hope that the new owners will continue to feed the animals and believe it or not, one lady next door has also started feeding them, so things are looking better for them.
