RE: BIRDS OF EDEN

Oh yeah, we intend to mosey up to Oudtshoorn sometime after the Covid as I served in the army there in 1SAI and now my wife's sister also lives in the area. Then it will be easy to get down to Plett. A visit to the Birds of Eden will be placed on the bucket list.

We visited the MonteCasino Bird Park in Sandton which has a similar construct with some raptor bird shows and very similar birds, but it's on a smaller scale.
Over here we also have bird rehab place called Eagle Encounters and they have some amazing raptors there.

The ones that they set free after rehab even circles above the place for a couple of day before they take off back into the wild.

A lovely post here my friend.

Thank you Zac! I visited a raptor rehab up country many years ago. It was spectacular. Of all birds the raptors are my favourite. Particularly those majestic eagles. I hope you get to Birds of Eden though. Really worth the drive.

The one here at Spier is just as good my friend.
We will travel and make oudtshoorn the base for a day or two. but that will be after we have both been vaccinated and this Covid thing is a real problem.

Twice now we have escaped it as we met with different people that didn't know that they were Covid positive. Both called us afterwards to tell us, but by grace we don't have it.
