I used to travel with friends to some towns nearby as this would create memories and strengthen our bond of friendship. An experience that I keep on reminiscing and remembering as time goes by.

It was last Thursday when we decided to visit Tuburan once again for another unique experience of escapade. I find it happier if I have been engaging in outdoor activities with friends who can be trusted and fun to be with.

It was a long joyride and as usual, RM was with me as my back rider. We passed a long winding road and through this ride, I gradually enhanced my driving skills. It was too far from our residence and the trip was a little bit tricky.

After a 2-hour travel, we finally reached our first destination. Nestled within the huge trees or shall I say, amid the green scenery, the haven of tranquility amused me. The atmosphere was serene and as we got closer, we heard the children's laughter echoing in the air. A profound sense of happiness was felt due to a peaceful place.

As we reach the middle of the towering trees, hidden at the center of them is the emerald water, usually visited by locals and they even washed their clothes here. It was so calm and we can witness a mirror-like reflection of the green scenery that surrounds it. It is called the Mantawihan Spring.

I was relaxed upon seeing its simple beauty and its clean surrounding. The scene reminded me of those years when we could still take a deep plunge safely in one of the springs of Tabogon. I was glad staring at the kids leaping and jumping full of happiness into the cold water.

Since it was drizzling, we rested under the trees that served as the best canopy. We waited for it to stop so we could proceed to our next itinerary.

And off we went to our next destination, the discovery of the oldest tree in town. We were exhilarated to embark on our next journey, to be amused by the oldest tree in town. I have never seen a Dao Tree in my whole life, thus taking a travel to watch this one was such a delightful experience. My friends have undergone some research and were asking the whereabouts of this tree as we were not familiar with the place. This made it more adventurous. This will truly enrich our experience and excitement.

When we arrived at the site, I was amazed that we went through the river. This time the river was dry, this was due to the drought that the Philippines has been experiencing. As we moved forward, at the edge of the river, we witnessed the Dao Tree standing firmly with awe. This towering tree is truly magical.

It was resilient. I have observed how intricate the tree’s physical appearance is. Everything was magnificent, the branches, the leaves, and most especially the roots. I can’t imagine how could this happened, as centuries passed by. It was so incredible.

I amazingly I touched the tree's roots, the only part that could be reached by my hands. Still, I was mesmerized as I felt the roughness of the texture and how hard they were. It was so precious to look at, and I was totally in awe of how the locals preserved this amazing tree.

We never left the area without taking a climb on its huge roots. Climbing on it would be a unique experience as we will be grasping the big roots. We enjoyed doing it, and for the first time, I was able to experience climbing on the roots. I used to climb before but that was on the branches. This made it different.

I just can't believe how strong this tree is.

After soaking ourselves in this tranquil place, we bid farewell to this venerable tree. We left with full of appreciation for the nature’s resilience and beauty. This trip although simple, had taught me some lessons that could leave a lasting impression on our body, mind, body, and soul.

That's all for this adventure of our in Tuburan. A quick tour but truly amazing and fulfilling with Amazing Nature. I love to it again and again.
