Hello dear community, this time I want to talk about a beautiful plant that I have in my house.

The desert rose is a shrub that has very beautiful pink flowers, but they can also be red or white. It is a slow growing shrubby plant whose thick stem gives it the appearance of a small tree.
This stem, as it grows, increases in size. That is why its scientific name is obesum, because the shape of the stem is reminiscent of obesity In addition to the curious shape, the stem also has a function: it serves as a water reservoir. Its leaves are oval, can measure about 9-11 centimeters long and are quite resistant. When the flowers bloom, they resemble the flowers of the oleander.

Tips for growing desert rose
It is a slow-growing shrub, so patience is needed to grow it, but with proper care it can bloom twice during the summer.

If in winter, because of the cold, it loses its leaves, it will most likely recover them for the following season.

If it is grown in pots, it does not usually exceed 60 centimeters in height, but in reality it can reach a height of one or one and a half meters.

The desert rose needs full sun. Although it is suitable for indoor cultivation, it is best grown in an area where it gets plenty of light.

In summer, it is recommended to place it in full sun, as this will allow it to grow properly. In winter, avoid placing it in shady areas.
